Any hidden gems of places to apply for internships?

I think there's something wrong with the system. One of my weekend classes told us she submitted grades in early December and we still haven't gotten them posted.

I dunno. It's still pretty early to be questioning why grades haven't been posted.

For 1Ls yes, for a weekend course that was in October no.

No preference. Just trying to find more places in addition to the law firms and government organizations that recruit at school. Any help is appreciated.

If all of that is true, I can only imagine that they will just have him grade them as if the extra paragraphs were not there (as they were not). I don't think that will be problematic because a) Tamanaha is a very methodical grader (there are few professors I would trust more in a situation like this), and b) the paragraphs were "extra," which means there was an original version of the exam without them.

What ended up happening to the people who took the exam without the extra paragraphs?

As far as I know, no grades (including for journals, moot court, multiple choice exams, etc.) are out. It seems odd. I think the registrar is probably out on vacation (3 weeks?) or got fired (torts exam thing), or the administration wants to slow the release of grades. I can't imagine there's a system error, but who knows.

i got one grade back (dec 30 or something). for a writing seminar - and he emailed on the 16th with feedback on final papers so i have a suspicion that he submitted grades a week or two before i actually got the grade on webstac. i thought the pass/fail classes would be quicker tho. that's the only one ive gotten back tho.

Rosen emailed his Evidence sections a few days ago to let us know that he finished grading the essay portions like two weeks ago. He said he was waiting on the scantron results for the multiple choice. It seems like strange things are afoot at the registrar's office.

The registrar/admin of this school can't go a single year without some fucked up shit happening. I love the professors here and admissions are great, can we just replace the admin staff or something.

How do you even replace all but 3 exams? How does that mistake happen?

At least the DBT dud was understandable, although registrar should have told him to regrade instead of submit only 4 different grades.

Yea, I mean there are reasonable arguments for waiting and releasing all grades at once, but if that in fact is what is happening, they probably should have at least told you guys.

They've started telling people today it's just gonna all come out a few days after the deadline. I'm willing to bet some of the slow grading profs complained about students e-mailing them about when grades come out.

I get switching to them all coming out at once but just own it, don't be like "ohh our registrar is just so backed up we're getting to it."

Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. Sure, if you want to delay releasing the grades until days into the Spring semester, that's okay. It's definitely not okay to just sit on your hands and let the students wait on pins and needles for weeks past the usual release date. I have no idea how the administration didn't think that was a fucked up thing to do.
