Really though, it isn't this bad typically and I had a generally good experience at WashU. Some friends that I will continue to talk to after graduation, a ton of people who were okay and I am generally friendly with and were okay people, and a handful of people who I am aso happy never to have to see again, so pretty much like anything else.

For any perspective wustl students reading, I'd like to say that while I may just be removed from the drama, I never experience any of this bickering at school, I find washu law to be a collegial place.

I just got off the phone w/ a WashU alum who's partner in a biglaw DC firm and now I'm really freaked out about not having done journal (particularly LR).

Does anyone have stories of WashU students who got biglaw w/o LR to make me feel better? I realize I'm deluding myself to think it won't count heavily against me, but I like to think I still have a chance..

It's absolutely possible. You'd be better off if you had some excuse for not doing it other than sheer laziness (trial team or moot court), but it's not going to totally foreclose you from big law, and people do get it every year without doing a journal. Also, DC is a tough market to crack so don't focus too heavily on it.

Is it crazy to do both LR and Moot Court? I feel like it's a good idea in theory but I don't think I can manage the time well enough since I am also doing a clinic in the fall. I'm pretty sure I'll drop moot court, but wanted some input first.

Definitely doable (ppl do it). I didn't/wouldn't but whatever.

Also keep in mind that Clinics tend to be more of a time commitment than classes.
