Yes, congrats. It should soon display "Dean's Scholar Prize" under the grade; for some reason it doesn't show up right away except for the unexplained star.PotenC wrote:DS congratsMAHamlin wrote:Yep! At last! Can anyone tell me what an * means next to a grade?malleus discentium wrote:grades are UP

Well that's exciting. I was worried it meant there might be something amiss...despina wrote:Yes, congrats. It's not that exact of a science and it's probably not worth analyzing that closely.malleus discentium wrote:Are there a max of 3 DSs per class x 4 classes = 12 DSs total per section for the first 1L semester?
Also not an exact science and not worth analyzing that closely. Professors can do whatever they want. I've never heard of a Cl-P+Op-H=P but I'm sure it's happened. It's also not going to change. I'm exactly the opposite of what you're looking for, but as a Minnesotan I can give you the cliffnotes version of what you should know about winter, besides owning winter clothes.SweetTort wrote:Did any of you come from the South? If so, how did you adjust to the weather?

Interesting timing lol.SweetTort wrote:Did any of you come from the South? If so, how did you adjust to the weather?
From the South. Did not own a car up there (thankfully), so no need to worry about driving in the snow or shoveling, etc. Multi-layers man! Long-johns under my pants were a God send, at least for me, along with a very good Northface jacket, gloves and a beanie. Only thing left unprotected is the face and sometimes, that is bad enough...were times when I wanted to wear a ski mask straight up.SweetTort wrote:Did any of you come from the South? Long-Johns are amazing. Somehow I had never used them in the Northern Midwest, despite having crapass winters. They are now a staple of my wardrobe.DoubleChecks wrote:From the South. There are some (creepy to various degrees) dudes who only ever hit on Asian women -- some of them have Asian girlfriends somehow anyway. You will have friends if you try.

It is definitely disastrous. For me, the consequence of getting those same grades for both 1L semesters was that I had to settle for a V10 in NYC.fred013 wrote:this is disastrous. what are the consequences of H/P/P/P/P. below median pawned.
Nothing is closed off to you. I know of someone who straight-P'd himself first semester, then straight H'd second semester, wrote on to LR, and is now clerking for a feeder. You can still do all the stuff every law student here aspires to do.fred013 wrote:this is disastrous. what are the consequences of H/P/P/P/P. below median pawned.
Now there's a charge.
