As for the question on regional employment, our students have done well throughout the entire state of PA. We've had one graduate express an interest in pursuing his career in Pittsburg and was able to find employment fairly quickly through networking and such.

I feel that any other law school dean/staff person would say the same thing. Job market = tough, have to network work hard. There was an article in UVa's weekly publication about unemployed 3L's. That's a top 10 school bro. Maybe you should hurry up and rudely ask the UVa deans about it. Also, show some courtesy and respect. They don't have to come on this forum and answer your questions. I see no problem asking tough questions but do with respect

Greetings from Drexel! Thanks to all for your interest in Drexel and all our programs. I appreciate the questions and also the support from members of this forum. I appreciate it greatly.

Drexel Law is committed to providing accurate data and do our best to be as open and honest about our facts and figures. We do not believe in falsifying our data, so what you see is what you get.

As for the article, it is true that our students/graduates have found the economy a bit challenging and that they've had to "pound the pavement" a bit more this past year. However, it is also true that their hard work, motivation and experiential learning experiences have truly helped them succeed, given our current employment rate.

Also, regarding muliple LSAT scores, we take the highest score - although we do see all the scores.

Again, thanks for your questions as well as your patience. I was on the road this past week with a crazy schedule, so I apologize for just getting back to some of the posts.

So...these employment stats are UNaudited via any third party agency, and no law schools have EVER been audited with respect to these sorts of stats, and also we have huge salaries at stake for those who COLLECT and collate said stats. And those salaries depend on those stats being good. If the stats are not good, the salaries go down or go away completely.

I'm not quite sure as to why Drexel Law is getting so much hate. I mean, there are other schools that are fairly new and/or should be the target of some questions as to their viability in the legal market. U.C. Irvine is very new, and they do not get as much flame as Drexel. Makes me wonder if some people have a bias towards Drexel for a personal reason. Hmmm...

I also understand the T14 mentality, but I also know that not everyone has the credentials to get into T14. Does this mean that the "bottom of the LSAT gene pool" should not try to better themselves with a legal education? I don't think that it is anyone's business as to what law school someone goes to and why. I'm fairly sure that not everyone is here to be big law and make billions. Some people may want to do public service, private practice, or even, OH MY, serve their country in the military.

Bottom line is, quit being so classist and spread your hate equally to other schools if you're going to continue to hate. Drexel Law is not going anywhere, so deal with it. Yes, I was accepted to Drexel Law. Yes, I did get into or was wl'ed by other schools to include T1's. Why am I considering Drexel? Nunya. Well, their full tuition doesn't hurt but still, nunya. I also have absolutely 0% worries as to landing a job when I graduate.

Also, thank you Drexel for bucking up and at least attempting to answer some of these asinine questions.

Yes, I agree some people take the "dont' go to law school unless it's HYS" mentality but I think a lot of people on here take a more tempered and reasonable approach. I think it has less to do with being a prestige whore and more to do with getting a good rate of return on what amounts to one of the biggest investments of their lives. A lot of the hate on here is directed at schools that charge over 40k a year in tuition and put out misleading employment data that ends up leaving the majority of the class with 150k or more in debt with a 35k a year job to show for it.

Now, there are plenty of folks in this very corner of the internet we call TLS who are going to non T14 or even T1 schools. As long as they have realistic goals and manageable debt (which varies from person to person) I don't think anyone here would hate. If you go to Syracuse, pay full price (almost 43k per year in tuition!) and expect to land a job paying 160k a year people on here will warn and possibly ridicule you. But if you are dead set on public interest and want to take advantage of the IBR program or have some great connections that will get you a quality job, or if you are going for super cheap I think most here would be OK with that.

So in conclusion....some people on here be crazy but most I think take a reasonable view about things.
