Deciding between practicing law and running a food franchise? Why not both?!

And yes, Legal Grind, the coffee shop that also provides legal services, still exists AND since getting knocked off Shark Tank, has opened another location.

You can't just buy one McDonald's franchise you have to buy multiple
If you have 2 million dollars buy a shit ton of food carts don't waste your money on a franchise

Franchises can be a legit business. Even a Subway franchisee can pull 70k+ per year/per store.kalvano wrote:He had to, he was doing a lease and we had to pull credit. The problem with Chik-Fil-A is that you have to convince them that you're legit before they'll let you open a store. That usually means having a traditional family, going to church, working as a manager for a year, etc...

70K sounds like a lot until you subtract
Operations costs (Rent - Inventory- Salaries - Utilities)
Interest on debt
Taxes
Depreciation on equipment

Figure accounts for operations costs. I'm talking about net profit.withoutapaddle wrote:70K sounds like a lot until you subtract

last year anytime fitness was the most profitable franchise, and i believe the year before that was hampton inn which filled the void for middle class lodging. obviously hotels are far and away the most expensive franchise to own. so there's other opportunities than food. a lot of it is identifying the current trend and then seizing the opportunity
