Dating classmates has not been an issue for myself or others I know that have done it. Just don't be immature shits and you'll be fine. Also, consider staying away from section mates until after 1L...

As to the op, lets be humans here. If you date someone or simply have intercourse, there aren't going to be serious repercussions as long as you have been adequately treated for asbergers. Just be respectful, and know how to deal with an awkward situation, and you will be fine.

At my school, I know of two 1Ls that began dating 2Ls. I also know of five relationships that began before law school that ended (including one over Thanksgiving break) and two that are in serious trouble. Two of those ended before the first week ended, lol.

Trouble is bad. A better strategy is to stay away from human contact so you don't ever get hurt.
and an EVEN better strategy is checking out the local craigslist.

But really dating those in your section, especially when the classes are smaller can be a distraction for some people. Like how they tell you not to date a fellow rehaber when you're in rehab... it distracts from the main goal. If that sounds hoddy toddy, sorry.Holly Golightly wrote:lmao. There are multiple couples in my section and I don't think anyone considers it a distraction. It's a class of 100 people, who cares if a few of them are dating each other?texasrangersjb wrote:But really dating those in your section, especially when the classes are smaller can be a distraction for some people. Oh I don't think it would be a distraction at all. It would be a distraction for me dating someone in my class. I'm bad at multitasking if you know what I mean. A chick outside of law school, would be a little easier.GoneSouth wrote:There are multiple couples in my section and I don't think anyone considers it a distraction. Re: Dating in law school.
Dating tends to be time consuming, financially consuming, and a lot of emotions are involved. Often, it isn't even that enjoyable and will end badly, especially when classmates are involved.
The solution?
Backpage.com escorts. No, seriously.
Time: It can be a little time consuming if it is your first run at it. First, you need to learn the jargon (BBJ, FS, BBFS, BBJTC, PSE, No AA, ect.) You will also need to learn how to efficiently determine whether or not the person posting the ad is a fake, using fake pictures, or a police officer. You will also need to learn the art of the law enforcement check, and how to not get ripped off or robbed at or during your encounter. Finally, you will be dealing with a whole different universe of people than you have normal dealt with in your life and it will be an adjustment to say the least. However, once you get this down it becomes easy as less time consuming.
Financially: It is actually going to be a lot cheaper than dating. Think back to how much money you invested in to your last casual hook ups or relationships. Backpage is more cost effective. It would be wise to invest in a "burner" cell phone with a pay as you go plan.
Emotions: Unless you fall deeply in love with a prostitute and start stalking her, there will be no emotions involved. Interestingly enough, the female isn't going to become obsessed with you and stalk you either. Yes, you run the risk of being robbed by her handler, but that is almost less of a hassle than dealing with a crazy ex.
Go have some fun!

Alright, I need some inside info here. I've gone to massage parlors before, and I think I've got a pretty good eye for telling un/legit ones apart even without backpage. But how do you tell if an escort is a cop or going to rob me? All the profiles look the same to me. Do I need to ask her if she's a cop because she'll have to tell me? Is the strategy to just generally scope it out via prior text messages?kellyfrost wrote:Backpage.com escorts. No, seriously.

If you've done the massage parlors before you probably have a way better handle on it than a true first timer. I would check out online review boards for such things. A lot of places will have a local message board. I would also check out USA Sex Guide Info and make friends from your area there.Nekrowizard wrote:Alright, I need some inside info here. But if you are just cruising pictures posted on ads, check out Tinyeye, a reverse image search engine. https://www.tineye.com Run the image search and it will help you authenticate.

Thanks man--that reverse image search is a golden tip I didn't think of. I also didn't know about the message boards.kellyfrost wrote:If you've done the massage parlors before you probably have a way better handle on it than a true first timer.
