What has two boxing gloves and signed up for this class because it looked like an easy "A" for folks who are good at math?

I wish I could take it, but apparently I've taken multiple undergrad courses that substantially cover the same content, and so they won't let me.
I feel you. I really wish I could transfer over those A's I got in Corporate Finance and Accounting in my MBA program.

Anybody know the perp? Seems like an incredibly bold move now when the guy apparently already had a job.

Transcript paper. So bizarre.
Not bizarre at all. Instantly transplanting oneself from the bottom of the class to the top is potentially a very lucrative maneuver.

I know of him (not well).
My 2L buddy had(has?) corporations with him. He said there was speculation among those he'd talked to that the kid forged his unofficial transcript too and that's how he got the summer job. Just speculation though.

Maybe the guy didn't know his summer employer would request an official transcript after OCI, the offer/acceptance, and then panicked. And was slightly emboldened by the admin not expelling the guy who lied about being a victim of police racial harassment earlier this year? (just read that story on ABL, not sure what ultimately happened there).

I would imagine (hope) so, but, in the end it doesn't matter. There's no way he can pass C&F for any state bar with any sort of honest disclosure of this incident.

If found guilty, and it's not looking good for him based on the reports.

To answer the earlier question, yes a lot of people do know him. He's our classmate and we should please show him some respect.
If you want to talk about him, please don't do it in this forum.

You know how factories have those "___ Days Injury/Accident-Free"
We need one of those in Scott Commons: "___ Days Since Last UVa Law Scandal on ATL"
Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Why would he forge his unofficial transcripts? How are some people so dumb? He's at UVA + he's a URM. How bad were his grades that he resorted to FORGING TRANSCRIPTS!?

In my opinion, he did not show respect for the institution that I am a part of so tough luck for him. Especially if he did this for jobs, he took it away from someone else who deserved it.

+1 if you do something absurd like break into the school and steal stuff, people are going to talk about it and have the right to do so, and if the allegations are true he screwed people not only by stealing a summer associate spot but probably also stealing preselect interviews and callbacks away from more qualified people.

Even if you could forge a transcript, wouldn't it have to be the unofficial one if you wanted to use it for OGI, because that's the one firms saw? And doesn't have to be uploaded through Symplicity by the actual law school? Stealing official transcript paper/watermark/stamp/seal only seems valuable for the when the official one is needed, like at graduation or in place of the unofficial one. So I don't think he stole anyone's OGI interview.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
