It would make sense for that to happen but then again the different journals do grade differently. This year it appears there's at least 10 people who are transferring, and it seems at least half of them made Law Review, if not more. I do know that the 42 (or 44?) for LR as it stands now was made up of people excluding those who told the caller that they're transferring, but not all transfer decisions are out. So would those who get in from now be those who are on ILJ, more likely than JLPP or no journal? If the ILJ people drop ILJ to join LR, then does ILJ take on more? From which pool?

Am I making sense?

Is anything making sense?

What is life?
I think you're asking how its determined who gets LR once transfers decline to accept?
If that's what you're asking, I'm wondering the same thing.
Howd you come up with that number?

I counted those I know of.

Edit/add: *Those I heard names floating around as those who are going to Harvard/Yale/Columbia

Law Review just keeps going down it's list as long as we're under 44. This may draw from ILJ or JLPP (remember, as you noted, that they're scored differently, and that some people may have preferenced one over the other). I believe ILJ also has a waitlist and will continue to pull people. JLPP does not use a waitlist because of work on.

Whoop there it is.

I'm happy; all my top choices are here. Looks like I shouldn't need to worry about camping out symplicity for open slots.

19 also, but a few of the firms I bid low were small market places, I believe the average is closer to like 15 but not sure

Same. I bid moderately in secondary markets, eg Delaware.

DL was easy way to get a number 10 bid

Got 12... Kinda upset, but I've had some luck in my home market already so not too upset about it.

Got 13. Should've been expecting such, as I bid only NY. I think people generally have more luck # wise if they bid on firms that a lot of us would stay away from because of the GPA cut-offs.

An example is I got Simpson at a number 10, prob don't have a shot at then but then again Im guessing any other number 10 bid would be a waste

Is emailing a firm and asking for an interview effective? Or are we better off trying to grab one from a hospitality suite? Or should we do both?

I got a firm I have no chance at that I bid pretty low, too. Didn't get #1 for one of the other days. It is what it is, I guess. In the end you can only work at one firm.

All of the above. It's easier to go into a hospitality suite and be able to reference a prior email exchange. But your excuse for not getting a screener better not be that you bid the firm in 12th place.

Yah just be quiet about where you bid them.

Are all firms available in the Symplicity slots, so long as you have an open time slot?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
