I believe they let the last cohort know right before AJF.

So my question is: What's the best bus to get to Wegman's?
Oh shit. Did you have some rising 2L in mind when you made this particular satirical post? (I find this hilarious by the way, and I hope we're both thinking of the same person)

Shut up.

I don't know if this question has been asked, so apologies if it has.

For AJF and bidding, it seems that most people say stick close to the average callback gpa provided. I assume that you can have some variation but just how much? Can anyone from last years class speak to this? For example, if you have a 3.7 is is okay to bid on a 3.73 firm or a 3.77 firm? Would the general consensus be that its okay to bid on a firm with an average gpa callback .1 higher then your GPA?

Just wondering how many "reaches" to throw in. I do have a meeting with Career resources at the end of the week but would like some non Cornell staff opinions too.

I dont know if this makes a difference or not but I have a 3.67 so wondering if I can bid on 3.77 firms or not. Since those are the top firms, I figure that they may have less people bidding so it would be okay to throw in 1-2 toward the lower end of my bid list.

Bidding them at all is fine. Bidding them high is not suggested. .1 is probably too much of a variance from your gpa. I think .03 is probably safe.

If you haven't already, please vote for Cornell in the Class of 2016 thread so that we can get Mike Spivey to visit us. We're winning, but only by one vote right now.
MikeSpivey wrote:North, I'm going to put this and then the ultimate school whose class I am an honorary member of on my blog. Cool. Then if possible I will try to visit that school and do a "how to get the job you want" talk at that school.
Thank you for helping. :)

Yes, I included the link to his blog in the quote, but I suppose I could have made that clearer. Sorry.

I notice we went up another vote, so if that was you, thanks. :)

Voting ends in 22 hours. Initially I was just hoping we'd get enough votes to not look bad, but since we're so close I figured we might as well try to win.

The contest is more about gaining TLS reputation and getting exposure on his blog. The speech is a bonus he threw in and it's on the subject of getting a job. He also does employment consulting. It's not really a big deal. Looks like we're about to lose anyway.

Damn and I was already imagining trying to get CLSA to pay for Taste of Thai to be delivered for his talk. Which was probably the only way I'd have attended.

Hmm, bringing this back to regular questions then, how often do you score free meals from the law school? Is it like every day or more like 1-2 times a week? And what kinds of meals do they usually have? Apparently it's not just pizza.

1-2 times a week. Anytime there is a speaker or an event thrown by a student association (e.g. lalsa, balsa, acs, fed soc) there is usually free food. Also, even if there is closed meetings or you miss the event, leftovers are often left in the kitchen. However, the food is usually gone within a few minutes because lol its free food.
