Lol. The winner of this year's moot court = editor-in-chief of LR. What a monster.

Re: UChi Current Students Taking Questions
An easy solution is just not to be at the law school at that time. Get your shit done quickly, get out and do better things.

Bike/Walk/Uber, depending on things like destination and weather. But the advice above is good; I never stay at the law school after 4PM.

The university shuttles will also drop you off pretty close.

The MAC properties shuttle actually stops at Shoreland. The last shuttle leaves the law school at 9 pm.Wahrheit wrote:People in Shoreland, what do you do for transportation after 6:30 (other than own a car)?

There is a mac properties shuttle? This might change my life.c0llegeStUd3nt wrote:The MAC properties shuttle actually stops at Shoreland. The last shuttle leaves the law school at 9 pm.Wahrheit wrote:People in Shoreland, what do you do for transportation after 6:30 (other than own a car)?

It's the "Regents shuttle" but if you ask the driver will drop you off at other MAC properties.Robb wrote:There is a mac properties shuttle? +100. I respect the shit out of that dude, and my presumptive bias is generally anti-lawl-review-people.WheninLaw wrote:And also a really great dude.lawschool2014hopeful wrote:Lol. The winner of this year's moot court = editor-in-chief of LR. What a monster.
Other than the regents shuttle, the university Central route is the one that goes closest - 55th & Hyde Park. You can actually catch it right outside the law school now! Back in my day, it went all the way to the 172 stop in front of Shoreland...Wahrheit wrote:People in Shoreland, what do you do for transportation after 6:30 (other than own a car)?

Do most 1Ls live with roommates? I'm leaning toward a 1Bedrom in either Regents or Shoreland, but I'm worried about isolating myself.

Re: UChi Current Students Taking Questions
I don't think most 1Ls live with roommates (although a good number do). But, especially if you're getting a 1br in either Regents or Shoreland, you don't need to worry about isolating yourself. You're going to be at school five days a week with everyone, and there are plenty of social opportunities outside school. The only way you'll really end up isolated is if you impose it on yourself.magicrabbit wrote:Do most 1Ls live with roommates? I didn't have either of those profs, but I found Understanding Criminal Law to be really helpful. (I've got a beat up copy I'd give you for ten bucks if you want it.)

FWIW I pounded the Dressler hard and Crim was my worst grade of 1L by a couple points. A whole multitude of other issues went into that, though, and I didn't have those profs - so don't panic 1Ls if you've been using that book for that exam.WheninLaw wrote:Dressler and it's not even close.c0llegeStUd3nt wrote:Anyone have advice on a crim supplement? I did very well for Masur/Miles - Dressler is nice because you get a solid understanding of the substantive law. The exam is a straight up typing contest.beepboopbeep wrote:FWIW I pounded the Dressler hard and Crim was my worst grade of 1L by a couple points. In other words, this is a totally irrelevant personal story that doesn't have much to do with the question about crim supplements.beepboopbeep wrote:FWIW I pounded the Dressler hard and Crim was my worst grade of 1L by a couple points. TBF, he has a point, although that was unnecessarily rude.RodneyRuxin wrote:And this is a totally typical aspie UChicago law studentUn Chien Andalou wrote:In other words, this is a totally irrelevant personal story that doesn't have much to do with the question about crim supplements.beepboopbeep wrote:FWIW I pounded the Dressler hard and Crim was my worst grade of 1L by a couple points.
