Did any of you guys take Corp/any other class with Goshen? The other corp professor teaching this semester had bad evals.

TCR. It doesn't matter at all what classes you take, and the only reason you should ever take something you don't want to is if it's a prerequisite.smaug wrote:That's dumb. Take courses that interest you, not ones that people say you should take.
The only class I'd say someone *should* take is negotiations.
Just have a bullshit answer ready for EIP that you registered for Corps but don't know if you'll get in yet or something
Although I will say that I thought Negotiations was bullshit because I absolutely steamrolled everyone in that class and the professor kept telling me I wasn't being "empathetic" and "cooperative" enough and I was like "I'm getting the best result week after week" and I still got dicked over in the end.

Pistor. The evals made her sound disorganized. There is also a visiting prof, but I did not want to roll the dice on him unless I had to.Tiago Splitter wrote:I didn't but Goshen can be a hardass about attendance. Pistor is meh as a prof but she isn't mean and there are a lot of LLM's so a good grade is pretty likely. On call every third day but if you're not there she doesn't seem to care.dabigchina wrote:Pistor. The evals made her sound disorganized. Can anyone who has lived in an apartment share tell me the approximate size/sq ft of the bedrooms? No floor plan available for my apartment in UAH housing (415 W 118th if anyone here has actually lived there)

JBP not teaching Admin this year unfortunately, but it's Merrill in the fall (hell no) and Kessler in the spring (heard good things from last year).smaug wrote:Is JBP still around? Take JBPDCfilterDC wrote:Who's the best for admin, and who should be avoided?
And Nebby, I did almost exclusively BLL but it was kinda dumb. Law school classes in general are a joke. Path of least resistance gets my vote.
(Trial Practice and some similar classes were fun tho)
I'm thinking about Trial Practice as a good way to get to 12 credits and not have a fourth exam, and I actually would like to work on some of those skills

Haven't lived in one, but from what I've seen it varies quite a bit unfortunately, although someone may know that specific building better than metheconsigliere wrote:Can anyone who has lived in an apartment share tell me the approximate size/sq ft of the bedrooms? I believe the deadline for classes with 150+ people is June 25, and if you had Jackson, his class falls into that categoryBiglawprettyplease wrote:Um...wasn't the deadline for grades June 15th?

Any thoughts on Cavanagh for Antitrust?

Re: Columbia students taking questions
Its not a lightweight class. He assigns a ton of reading, its a pretty tough exam, and he has an attendance sign in requirement. But its a pretty good class if you accept his particular reading of the cases and you'll have to learn some antitrust. You can also avoid cold calls since each student only has to present one case. Its also pretty easy to skirt the attendance requirements since he doesn't really check the sign in that closely.lnick93 wrote:Any thoughts on Cavanagh for Antitrust?

I don't know why academics still jerk off to latin. I tolerate latin legal phrases because its an easy way to separate legal terms from other stuff, but write my fucking diploma in a living language please.Nebby wrote:These diplomas are so lame looking

I wonder if all Columbia diplomas are in Latin? Do other law schools have all Latin diplomas?
