Re: UVA 1L taking questions
Sorry if this has been addressed already, but how fast do most apartments - i.e. Ivy - fill up? Also how do most people go about finding roommates?

Get a loft...YCrevolution wrote:Yes. There's a couple of TLSers who live there (I'm not going to call them out, but they can respond). Four to a suite, your own bedroom/bathroom. The top floor suites have two bedrooms with lofts.WillyTee wrote:Does anyone live in or know anything about the Graduate Centre? I don't mind sharing the space, I just don't feel like sharing a lease.
Any thoughts???
I, personally, like it better than ivy, since you're right in between barracks shopping center and the law school (which comes in handy during freak snow storms when your fridge is empty). However, some feel you can be more social at ivy. Regardless, most only use their apartments to crash after getting back from the law school, so it shouldn't matter much.
p.s. sealocust as a neighbor is a big plus...he likes to give out free (or low cost) hugs.

Re: UVA 1L taking questions
I think it's a good place and will probably stay there next year. But that's only because I get along with the people in my suite. If you can't find other law students to live through TLS or UVA's message boards, I think you should find somewhere else - I couldn't imagine sharing the space with three strangers.WillyTee wrote:Does anyone live in or know anything about the Graduate Centre? Re: UVA 1L taking questions
Living with strangers isn't that big of a deal...I got stuck in the situation because I decided on UVA way late. I'm never there, and you have your own entrance if you don't like the people. If you do live with strangers, it'll prob be international students only there for one year.Cavalier wrote:I think it's a good place and will probably stay there next year. K,
Do we have a strategy for our closed book, multiple choice final property class? Read the class eval if you haven't yet.

I read the class eval from Spring '08 and I didn't see anything about a multiple choice final. Quote plz.lsatbobby wrote:K,

Re: UVA 1L taking questions
I don't think that the multiple choice thing was in the eval, just the closed book/note part. However, I'm pretty sure I heard he gives multiple choice finals. I might be wrong, though.CE2JD wrote:I read the class eval from Spring '08 and I didn't see anything about a multiple choice final. Quote plz.lsatbobby wrote:K,

Re: UVA 1L taking questions
People have posted that they received grades, but I don't think anyone from UVA has posted their grades, for good reason, since many of us know each other in real life. I believe that grades are available for section L's civil procedure class, but I'm not sure if grades are up for any other 1L classes. Certainly not any of minejawsthegreat wrote:Lol, has a single person posted an actual grade yet?
