Tax
Food law
Islamic law
Law and mental health (almost certainly dropping this crap but not sure what to replace it with)
Schedule is not as ideal as I had dreamed but I will make it work and I don't want to burn my ATM classes too early

Re: UChi Current Students Taking Questions
Those of you on waitlists, especially high on waitlists, will almost certainly get into those classes. I didn't see a single class last year where less than ~20% of the spots opened up the first week.
Also elterrible you can't P/F financial accounting, just making sure you know that. Still very much a worthwhile endeavor but I know some people are convinced you can P/F everything at Booth.

I'm 50 on the biz orgs wait list. So you're saying there's a chance?

Yeah, saw that when I was looking for the class yesterday. I'm fine with it. Thanks, though.2014 wrote:Those of you on waitlists, especially high on waitlists, will almost certainly get into those classes. Confused 3L has no idea how to see what number he is on the waitlist. Help help help.Regulus wrote:I am #2, #6, and #9 on the waitlists of smaller 15~25-person classes. When you say "high" on the waitlist, how high are you generally talking about?

Show up the first day and there's a >50% chance you make it in. If you don't get in the spring teacher is supposed to be good fyi.Mal Reynolds wrote:I'm 50 on the biz orgs wait list. So you're saying there's a chance?
I'd put your odds at 95%, 66%, and 40% respectively.Regulus wrote:I am #2, #6, and #9 on the waitlists of smaller 15~25-person classes. When you say "high" on the waitlist, how high are you generally talking about?
The numbering usually only matters as a means of ranking people who show up the first day. Far from everyone on the WL does this, so just showing up gets you near the top (make sure you talk to the prof before or after class though).
If anyone is on the WL to Trade Secrets and is a 2L they should write that off. Enough 3Ls want in and Strahilivetz will 100% give them spots first.

We (1Ls) just got our section assignments. What is the best way to figure out what books we need?
Also if anybody is itching to sell their old books message me.
Thanks!

It's more like you can't take anything pass/fail. It says that the only classes you can't take pass/fail are the ones that specifically state "not pass/fail eligible."2014 wrote: Also elterrible you can't P/F financial accounting, just making sure you know that. I looked at this year's booth classes and I didn't find one that didn't say that.

On classes.uchicago.edu there's a link to the Barnes and Noble book listing below each class.Canof09 wrote:We (1Ls) just got our section assignments. What is the best way to figure out what books we need?

I have books if you guys want them. Havet figured out pricing yet but I'll try to keep them below amazon or the cheapest offer since theyre used. Also some are full of my first quarter's worthless highlighting and note scribbling so feel lucky for that. Message me if you're interested and I'll take a look at what I have betwen casebooks and supplements this weekend.

Your last exam will be June 5, 2015 (probably done by 1:00, maybe 5:00). You can leave that evening if you so desire. Midway is 30 min away, O'Hare just over an hour (conservatively).
