Re: UVA 2L taking questions
This may have been asked before....but since the thread is SO large (much larger the Duke's as someone mentioned
)
I was wondering....do we get our loan disbursments after the first day of classes. I saw that in the class of 2013 thread they were scheduled to come a certain day but they didnt come until much later....is this normal? and if so should we be prepared to have enough money for books before the loan?
Thank you!

I'm going to ask this and then chastise myself for it, but why? Unless you're from LST, I don't get how this possibly could be useful or of interest. Okay, with that said...quakeroats wrote:I'm only here for the OGI firm count.

I have wide-ranging interests. Don't fight it. Just type the number.badwithpseudonyms wrote:I'm going to ask this and then chastise myself for it, but why? Unless you're from LST, I don't get how this possibly could be useful or of interest.quakeroats wrote:I'm only here for the OGI firm count.

GTFO... I really don't understand why quakeroats hasn't been banned for endless trolling.quakeroats wrote:I have wide-ranging interests. Don't fight it. I'm not asking for popcorn recipes and praising Mao. The number of firms at OGI is well within the purposes of this thread. Is the number too bad to disclose or something?vamedic03 wrote:GTFO... Re: UVA 2L taking questions
This is why we - as lawyers and law students - can't have nice things.quakeroats wrote:I'm not asking for popcorn recipes and praising Mao. The number of firms at OGI is well within the purposes of this thread. Is the number too bad to disclose or something?
A human being would realize this thread was for UVA students and prospective students to discuss the school, and realize that asking about employment and recruiting is encouraged - but that doing so as a student at another school would be bizarre and come across as aggressive and obnoxious. This wouldn't require careful examination or thought; normal people would just know.
But not a law student, no sir. A law student would say "BUT THE THREAD IS ABOUT UVA STUDENTS ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND I HAVE ONE - GOTCHA! Is it just too low to admit in public LOL STATE SCHOOL LOL?"
Or maybe just a Duke law student...

Part of it is probably because a lot of the moderators have some connection to UVA, and we try to maintain an air of impartiality so it's kinda hard to make a call on this sort of matter. If it helps any, in my internal monologue I've renamed him quakerscrotes.vamedic03 wrote:GTFO... I really don't understand why quakeroats hasn't been banned for endless trolling.

Re: UVA 2L taking questions
Maybe this would be more fun as a guessing game. I'll start. Are there more firms at OGI than UVA associates at WLRK?5ky wrote:I imagine QO quivering with excitement just thinking this.quakeroats wrote: I'm not asking for popcorn recipes and praising Mao. Re: UVA 2L taking questions
Okay, so this might be a really, really stupid question, but I have to ask you guys. I really don't want to do BigLaw at all -- I want to do public service. So I wasn't planning on doing OGI at all. However, when I told a couple of friends here, they looked at me like I was an idiot.
Am I being an idiot? Bidding ends the 17th (I think) so I suppose this is something I should actually decide really soon, haha.
