Glad we finally tightened the belt and cut down to "only" 190. Kind of crazy when you consider 2013 had 270-ish

Yeah we should really keep this to PM. Happy to let ppl know who inquire.
In other news, I heard the school is really making a push right now. Applications were up several % and the school sees a chance to take advantage of our peer schools not having money.

Just some stuff the dean told SBA 1-2 weeks ago
1. Applications from my cycle were up 7% from the 2L's, apparently "more than any other established school in the country"
2. Our applications for this cycle are the highest in our history for this point in the cycle, more than 100% increase from last year.
3. 75% of Romo's class is placed in JD required or JD preferred as of a week or two ago

Damn. Glad I started drinking in high school, so I could manage my shit by the time I got to college, let alone law school.
There were some pretty drunk people at last year's party, though. I remember one person falling down and another puking in the alley.

Wow...this seems generous compared to the people I know. Many still don't have anything permanent lined up.cusenation wrote: 3. 75% of Romo's class is placed in JD required or JD preferred as of a week or two ago

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
He did mention that there were people who had received offers but didn't want to accept them for whatever reason. But he said that they weren't included in this figure. Apparently he receives weekly placement reports regarding our students/grads so it would seem up-to-date.JCougar wrote:Wow...this seems generous compared to the people I know. Nobody was arrested. This is ridiculous that someone went out of their way to send this; are they proud of themselves?

Really, you're surprised this happened? As soon as I heard the rumors of the event, I knew an atl post was coming, and was before I knew about the letter. Hell, someone sent the "how to open your locker" email to atl my 1l year...goldeneye wrote:Nobody was arrested. Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
I'm not surprised, but that's probably why they did a hardcopy letter, not e-mail- so it would be harder to forward. But I'm not sure why someone would feel the need to send it as I'm not sure what it really accomplishes.

Re: WUSTL Recent Grad (and others) Taking Questions
This was shockingly poor judgment by the SBA.
First of all, it was not as fun as having it at a bar. It was still fun, but not as good as Halloweens of past. But more importantly, did no one see this coming? Who was in charge? I mean I saw people who were working the door who could barely stand up straight by midnight. There was no one there keeping things in check.
People who know me know I'm no stick in the mud. I like to drink. But I saw drunkenness on a whole new level. Good lord, this was just stupid on so many levels.
