1L with 20% chance of no-job pwnage, yeah you should be worried.lgleye wrote:Hi......... entering 1L (class of 2015) with Borman for CLR. Should I be worried?
Albany Park. Safe and quiet. I live there now and it's about 40 minutes door to door.Desert Fox wrote:I'm looking for ~700 a month studio/1 bed, and I don't really care where as long as I can commute via CTA in under 50 min, and it's not ridiculously crime ridden. I assume you take the brown line or is there an express bus? I used to work in Ravenswood and rode through Albany Park daily, it looked nice enough.Icculus wrote:Albany Park. Safe and quiet. FWIW, I've found quite a few listings in LP in the 700-900 range. 700 is definitely on the low end though. If you want to live a little closer.Desert Fox wrote:I assume you take the brown line or is there an express bus? You can either take the Brown to the Red and walk from Chicago and State, or the Brown to Chicago and the 66.Desert Fox wrote:I assume you take the brown line or is there an express bus? Yea ideally LP would an option, maybe I'll go as high as 800 there.Lieut Kaffee wrote:FWIW, I've found quite a few listings in LP in the 700-900 range. 700 is definitely on the low end though. What neighborhood are you living in? I know it's tough finding a place 1000 yards from a school in the city.bjsesq wrote:1. 16th floor, hardwood floors, granite counters and cherry wood cabinets. It works.Desert Fox wrote:That must be a pretty nice place at that price.
Studio or 1-bed?bjsesq wrote:16th floor, hardwood floors, granite counters and cherry wood cabinets. It works.Desert Fox wrote:That must be a pretty nice place at that price.
Studio. I managed to work in a deal that netted me a first month's rent of 500, and 1k per after that. It's not great, but I am comfortable with how it ended up. The view of the lake is nice too.D-hops wrote:Studio or 1-bed?bjsesq wrote:16th floor, hardwood floors, granite counters and cherry wood cabinets. Nice. I thought about moving into a studio this year but I didn't want to move again in a year, so I went with a pricier 1-bed.bjsesq wrote:Studio. North lakeview, right around irving park and the lake, so the same general neighborhood I was in before. Walking distance to train, express buses, and (most importantly) boystown.bjsesq wrote:Makes sense. Fact of the matter is, I don't host any get togethers pretty much ever, so this works out well for me. Where did you get a place at?
Lol. Nice. I am about 4 blocks away from spin. MY BODY IS READY.D-hops wrote:North lakeview, right around irving park and the lake, so the same general neighborhood I was in before.
