It is Case Western Reserve I made slight typo, leaning towards staying put, greater career flexibility down the road is my major concern but by the time I pay off the debt (at least 10 f-ing years if I land a 160K job and live like someone making substantially less) that NU would put me in, the my work record will matter alot more than where I went to law school. Also law review at NU is basically out of the question at Case there's a reasonable opportunity to get published and move into the top 5. But any other advice is welcome.

What markets will you target come OCI? Honestly, what is Case Western's placement like?

This is my question. If a biglaw job is a foregone conclusion, fuck transferring. If that's a big risk, better transfer.
I also think school status still matters 10 years out in law.

Would love some opinions on any of the following courses/professors (easy/hard grading for non-curved classes, teaching style, etc):
BUSCOM601S Business Associations (Lutz)
Evidence 630H (Hughes)
pre-trial advocacy litarb 616 (Mayer)
Conpub 714 media law (Tilley)
conpub 720 government secrecy (Kitrosser)
buscom 664 in house counsel: modern corporations (Mark Hacker, Thomas Finke)
conpub 661 election law (Staff) (what does "staff" mean?)
Also, does NU publish anything regarding past grade distributions that professors have given? For non-curved classes, what is the best way to figure out the relative easiness/hardness of professor's grading?
Thanks!

They don't publish grades. You gotta go by word of mouth.

I understand that there are a few grade breakdowns/distributions floating around out there that somehow leaked.

In-House Counsel was my lowest grade last fall. I was actually shocked when grades came out as I participated as much as anyone and felt good about the final (plus it's not curved).

Thanks for sharing your experience. Sounds like grading for that course may be a little unpredictable.

How many of the splitters at NU are IP bros? I'm trying to figure out if NU outpaces its peer schools because so many of you guys are IP secure. It seems that way on here.

Would any current customer like to "refer" me to Peapod? You get a $10 code for Peapod, Amazon, Fandago or iTunes, and I get $10 off my first Peapod order. PM me for my email and you can go to the Peapod site and find the refer-a-friend page (I found it as I started to go through the Checkout process.)

Is it bad if I take two curved, competitive classes this semester? (I'm a 2L.) How many is too many?

Does NU have a 1L OCI in the spring or is that not a thing ITE? If so, are any of the positions paid? If you want a paid 1L summer job, is it simply a matter of mass mailing the crap out of firms and crossing your fingers?
I read vanwinkle's guide, but I'm still unclear on several aspects of the mechanics. It sounds like OCS isn't allowed to talk to you about it until November and I would prefer to not to be trying to figure this all out during the final weeks of class.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
