In addition to the advice above, you can focus on improving your writing. It will serve you well in law school, and in your career as a lawyer. My guess from your writing on this forum is that you're not a native English speaker? That's fine, but most fields of law require solid writing that does not require a lot of review by others for spelling, grammar, flow, word usage, etc.lymenheimer wrote:Well I wanna know what follows before that statement.zot1 wrote:Nothing.AgentSmithers wrote:Im interested in what follows after that statement.zot1 wrote:Being a lawyer isn't actually about knowing the laws.

Law students aren't learning specific laws. They're learning how to read laws. Ideally, you want to know as few laws as possible. If you already know the law, you're only making 10% of what you could make. To succeed, you must be able to read the statute at your discretion, spend a lot of time walking to the library to get the code. You also want to make sure you get a second and third opinion, have lunch with the research team, go for a jog to think about all the intricacies of the law and shower. Instead of billing 10 minutes and making it look easy, you could squeeze 20 hours here and make the client feel like they need to go to you in the future. You have a lot to learn.

The fact that OP is enjoying researching rules of evidence means he/she will likely do very well in law school.
Most of us hate all of this junk but forced ourselves to do it anyway. The people that weirdly really liked it out performed us.

If you really want to prep, you should write a dissertation that overlays the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure with The Great Gatsby. This will show your law professors you are dedicated and your fellow classmates you are a creative thinker.

The only pre-law school prep I ever advise is increasing your typing speed. Everything else is a waste of your time.
