Toilets like you are talking about accept anyone with a pulse (and I wouldn't be surprised if some would take those without a pulse if there were money to be had). However, many (most? all?) of those schools love to flunk out students after taking that first year's check. So in other words, quit being an idiot and collecting stupid degrees.

Maybe a bit harsh? I wouldn't call an MBA a stupid degree lol
I don't think anybody said an MBA is a stupid degree.

MPA? I also think most of those masters degrees, except MBA or some MA/MSc, are useless. Universities are just trying to collect money through those programs, and because employers know how easy it is to get those degrees, they probably don't signal anything. Most such degrees are waste of time and money.

JD degrees aren't very valuable unless you want to become an attorney. Sure, attorneys pivot out of the law all the time, but it is usually after years of practicing in a certain field.

But for college graduates with useless majors, even if they don't necessarily want to be lawyers, JD degrees from top law schools would be valuable. But whether they really will be worth sticker and huge debt in such cases, I am not sure.

Probably any law school which awards you a full tuition scholarship since you won't have as much financial pressure as most of your fellow students.

I'd disagree. There are plenty of valuable degrees out there. Hell, even true bs degrees can be worthwhile if you go to a top school. They give you the "elite" pedigree you might not otherwise have, provide you with a network and give you more skills.

Barry, Charlotte, and Washburn would all be choices I could go to for free on scholarship. Washburn is the best ranked of the bunch but I figured it would be harder to graduate from there as the expectations would be higher...

As to the question of not being able to find a job... No, that has nothing to do with it. I am in my 30's so not living on mommy and daddy and haven't since I was 17. My spouses job is a telecommute so that income will stay the same regardless and no kids to worry about either. My company told me that if I have a law degree that they will pay me an additional 40,000 per year to do practically the exact same job that I am currently doing. If I fail out, I lose my job and then yes, I would need work. As long as I graduate, I will add a significant amount of money to my salary for no extra work. I don't care about the prestige (if I did, I would be looking for the best school I could get into, not the easiest). Since I don't need the bar exam or to be an attorney, the quality of education is irrelevant to me, I just need the piece of paper to show I graduated from an ABA law school. And just fyi, since apparently saying regionally accredited must mean its a degree mill to ppl here my MPA from Penn State and my PhD is from Syracuse (the #1 ranked program in the nation). So judgment and self righteousness aside... any other suggestions besides LSU?

Surprising you nor anyone else said Cooley. Especially since many people here think you are a flame.

However, an extra $40k a year, are you working healthcare, compliance, risk management, or finance in some capacity?

I ask because these are the only roles/positions/domains I can think of that can afford and be willing to pay this bump.

Check out all of their websites and see which ones don't have stipulations on their scholarships (like top 50%,40%,30%, etc. to retain scholarship). I personally wouldn't go anywhere that had any stips on scholarships other than "remain in good academic standing."

failing out of law school-even the low ranked ones-isnt really something that happens without a lot of effort from the student. I had a prof that would always reassure students by stating, "no one fails out of UT Law." I'm sure that's true, but it was also true at the ttt dumpster I did 1l at. As for the posters saying LSU, haha. I think they actually are one of the few schools left that fail people. I don't really know why.

This isn't universally true actually. I'm glad your dumpster fire isn't known for fail outs, but the majority of garbage schools are. They do it to inflate bar passage rates, or at least to avoid the rate falling low enough that they risk their accreditation.

I have a friend who graduated from Cooley and I know it is not an easy school to coast through. He and all the people I knew there (I used to live in Lansing) studied constantly and still pulled C's. That is why I didn't suggest them. Easy to get into? Yes. Not a school that imo would be easy to coast through.

So should I try to go to a better school since they may not want to fail ppl out like a "dumpster" school will?

and I work for lobbying firm.

Just cast a wide net on schools with low LSATS. Pick one that has no stips on the scholarship. Schools with scholly stips HAVE to disclose them.
