Do you think it's prudent to tell a recruiting contact whose job is to hire law students when grades will become available?

doesnt it depend on the school? i dont know this but im assuming most schools grades come out around late january, and some will be up to a month earlier or later. but yes i see what you mean too.

yes i plan to use what i learn from those presentations as well. as i said in the OP im just curious and hoping to do a bit of work and thinking about these things to save myself time during the semester, and hoping for some advice from tls even before i get to school.

You can't post in the legal employment forum yet (until you get to school), but if you read around there, a lot of these questions have been discussed before.

This thread is mostly about 2L direct applications but covers a lot of your questions. Just don't post in it as a 0L. And don't post in it as a 1L until you have read it cover to cover.
