Here is the deal. I hate neglecting the family. Will I have time in law school to spend at least an hour a day and a little more on the weekends with the family? This includes eating on the dinner table, and discussing normal day-to-day events with each other. My current situation: Living in parent's household.

Wait, are we talking about "the family" as in your wife and kids, or your parents?

I'm the same way. I decided to take a nice scholly and stay home so not only is lawl skewl really cheap right now but I'm able to spend time with the fam really whenever. It's a little different for me because I commute to school an hr each way everyday but I do get to see them and it's great. I'm still getting adjusted to the workload thus far and it's going to rev up pretty soon so I'm wondering how that will be. For the record, I'm usually on my way to school at 6:15am and try to make it home by no later than 7pm Monday through Friday

Not really trying to encourage anyone to do anything. Just giving an example from my perspective and the commute really isn't that bad. I take the train put head phones in and work.

I live in a pretty big metropolitan area.Was able to do UG living at home too. There's easily about 10 universities/colleges within a 80 mile radius
