I am actually one of the more responsible ones out of my group of friends...I still read on time for all of my classes and keep up with things. But it's a lot easier to slack of 3L year because there's no longer the pressure of not knowing when you're on call; most professors use the "panel" system where they divide the class into 4 groups and rotate through the panels, so you always know when you're on call. Also, you know how to read and "do" law school - many people won't brief cases anymore (I don't) and you know what to pay attention to.pollaclc wrote:also, speaking of "procrastinating as usual," how much of your time do you think you spend studying or trying/pretending to study?
Class schedules are also much better 2L and 3L year. I haven't had Friday classes since 1L and I don't have class before 10:40 at all this semester. Also, this semester I only have 1 class Mon, Tues, and Thurs. So you can have a LOT of free time. 2L year, most people are on a journal and will still be really busy (if not busier than 1L), but 3L, unless you're on the Board of your journal, you have much more free time. I'll be interning at the City of Boston Law Department this semester to help make my life more structured because I do waste wayyy too much time these days.
