- Summa Cum Laude (4.20 or higher) - 0 people.
- Magna Cum Laude (3.97 or higher) - 21 people
- Cum Laude (3.65 or higher) - 98 people

That high, huh? That's what I was afraid of. I know that last year was an anamoly (i.e., an incredibly high number of people graduating magma). However, I was told that for c/o 2010 someone right around a 3.84 would have just made the cut.

I've heard this too, possibly from independent sources. Usually its somewhere in the 3.8's. What it really depends on is whether our year was abnormally high like C/O 2011, or whether it was more like C/O 2010. I think people 2L/3L gunning because of the jobs situation might have really upped the GPA's for 2011. That was much less prevalent our year, I think, but who knows.

Also, transfers don't count for Coif, but are eligible to receive magna. So if 30 people graduated with Coif last year and there were ~300 people in the class, after you factor remove the 30-40 transfer students, doesn't it appear that Coif is actually the top 11-12% of people who are eligible.

Waiting on Am Legal Hist w/ Presser, the nature of the class and Presser make me think it could have curve issues...I was counting on lazy 3Ls to help me out there.
