First semester. The school should have sent you an email with information for accessing your schedule. You can also check the Student Center, though the schedule posted there has been a little wonky for some of us lately.

I think i remember reading something that said we are having pictures taken that professors/law firms/etc. will have access to... "No need to dress up, but no t-shirts, etc..." was the quote, I think..

The very first thing you'll do at orientation is get your picture taken by a professional, which will be the photo that you will be immortalized in for the Cornell Law Directory, and will also be the picture that the school sends to law firms. Try to wear something with a collar.

What will most of you 1L's be doing on Sunday before orientation?

Also, collared polo shirt or button up shirt is ok? What about pants?

Either/or is fine. You can check out the directory at http://registrar.lawschool.cornell.edu/ to get an idea of what the photos are like and what to wear.

Pants are optional. I refused to wear any, and my picture is fine.

The administrators seemed a bit upset, though.

WAY too early for you to worry about exams. The structure of the exam shouldn't affect the way you study during the semester or even the way you outline your classes, imo. When exams draw closer, ask your CLSA/affinity group mentor about this stuff. Trust me, forgetting about exams for now best piece of advice you've gotten on this forum.

Correction: Second best piece of advice. Taking lawyering seriously is the best thing I ever did in law school. That shit will get you a sweet summer job and get you on a journal, which in turn will get you a BigLaw job.
