Any way to check at this point what kind of exam a course will give? As someone w/ a strong preference for the short exam rather than the 8-hour takehome marathon, this is an important factor for me

TBH, I am kind of hoping to find Mr. Right while I'm in law school. Any thoughts on dating culture, whether people date others in the area outside the law school, etc.?

Hahaha...I'm taking the lack of substantive responses to mean that you all don't have very positive things to say about dating at Harvard--sigh.

I'm an admitted student like you, so I just saw an opportunity for a joke and went for it. I have however read this entire thread and it is talked about in here somewhere. Search for it but IIRC people say it's totally fine.

I mean you are going to be around droves of grad students at H, MIT, BC, BU, Tufts, etc. can't imagine it's to hard if you are proactive.

Thanks ph, and I'll take a look back through the thread.

Sadly, I am not actually Miranda Kerr, but hopefully something will work out.

Hey, Annette Gordon-reed said a major reason she chose Harvard over Yale was that there were more males there for her to find a husband. No joke.

Interesting. And she met her husband at HLS too!

I've never really dated people who were my age/at the same stage as I was in life, so am apprehensive about doing that for the first time just as it's getting real in terms of when I want to commit. I'll see how it goes.

HLS is a big school. It gives you a better chance than other law schools, at least in terms of absolute numbers.

How often do HLS students socialize with students from nearby schools? Are there MIT-HLS mixers or something? I'm totally down to marry a rocket scientist.

ETA: I haven't been admitted but, please, humor me.

I run into the same group of Lesley students every Wednesday at 2:00 a.m. at Tasty Burger if that counts.
