I have a practical question. I am thinking about purchasing a backpack for school and was wondering how large of one I needed. How many law books will I likely be carrying around + the laptop?

I had a small backpack and just carried the computer separately. It worked well.

I think the general concensus is that anything under 4.5" is verging on too small, and below 4" is really just unusable. 5" isn't going to wow anybody but seems workable in practice.
