One serious answer? I guess Northwestern's claim of a mature student body is a little off.

Can anybody clarify what size would be too small?

Any insights or other considerations would be appreciated.
I had a small backpack and just carried the computer separately. It worked well.

Think: carry three casebooks. That would be fine. Also: relax. People are just joking around.

I think the general concensus is that anything under 4.5" is verging on too small, and below 4" is really just unusable. 5" isn't going to wow anybody but seems workable in practice.

I'm sorry but could you clarify what the measurements you are referring to relate to?

Not great when Monty soundly thrashed him at El Alamein.
