Not really. I'm smarting over the loss of Epstein more than I am the loss of the last Dean.

Thank you. If it makes you feel any better - I am a hick from the sticks transferring from an SEC school, so I'm bound to blow my interviews anyway.

Be humble and nice in interviews. Don't have an erection bigger than the person you are interviewing. Do these things and collect win.

If you are interviewing against other Chi kids, this will probably be endearing and not a negative.

I like him. He seems like a very intelligent guy with a lot of experience. He also seems to keep an eye on the law school community and not just legal academia (based on some articles he has written) and that makes me more confident that he can be a Dean, not just an academic. I thought he was MUCH better than the original candidates that did not work out.

Is he going to get us into the top 10?

Has he given any hint to how he views what NU is currently doing with admission? I.e. WE, accepts sub 3.0, etc.

I didn't go to the forum with the students that would have keyed me into that information so I don't know.

If anyone does care, he was asked this question and basically said NU's problem is the reputation scores. And he is 100% correct.

You might, but that N is more likely to be NYU than NU.

You can have a dean that worries about USNews Rankings. I'll take a Dean that worries about getting me a jerb.

That was DVZ's focus, wasn't it? The whole Plan 2008 stuff? It seemed like part of the problem was he focused too much on employers and our reputation suffered.

He focused on a plan that would get students jobs - which is the point of a professional school. How is that a bad thing again?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
