Did you current NU students fill out the health record thing? I don't wanna hunt down my shot records/get a bunch of new shots if I don't have to. Is it a big deal?

I was able to fill mine out with info from a similar form I had to get for undergrad. If you save stuff like that, it could be very helpful.homestyle28 wrote:Did you current NU students fill out the health record thing? Shouldn't it just be a matter of calling your doctor's office? I know my HMO medical record has all my shots since birth, even though I've been on and off that HMO plan since I was about 5.Holly Golightly wrote:I was able to fill mine out with info from a similar form I had to get for undergrad. My doctor couldn't find two of mine, so they just gave me 1 of them again, and ran a blood test for the other.rinkrat19 wrote:Shouldn't it just be a matter of calling your doctor's office? I've had to hunt these down before, it was just tedious, but doable so I guess I'll get on it...my childhood Dr. retired like 15years ago so hopefully I still have a copy somewhere.Desert Fox wrote:My doctor couldn't find two of mine, so they just gave me 1 of them again, and ran a blood test for the other.rinkrat19 wrote:Shouldn't it just be a matter of calling your doctor's office? I don't know how many more times you'd need to prove immunizations, but y'all might consider getting a WHO card. I had to get one for Peace Corps, but it's basically just a list of all your vaccinations (and any allergies) on a bright yellow card. Toss it wherever you keep your passport/social security card/important papers, and you're good to go.

Barbri is a bar exam prep course. I would imagine that a lot of the new grads are trying to sign up, but I don't know what Johann's problem is.Bumi wrote:What the hell does this mean?@tweetsbyjohann wrote:10 more minutes of having to answer, where is #BarBri. Hire someone and make a dang sign!

I am going to be in Chicago a few months early. Can any of you current students recommend any ways to get a jump on 1L? Books to read? Cases to review? Topics to review?
Thanks guys.

Relax, read for fun, get in shape. Doing well in 1L is all about stress and burnout management. You actually have more than enough time to learn the material.Nola wrote:I am going to be in Chicago a few months early. Can any of you current students recommend any ways to get a jump on 1L? Learn how to drink without a hangover. That's important. During second semester I forgot. And it's kicked my ass two weekends in a row.rayiner wrote:Relax, read for fun, get in shape. I second all of this. Also, spend some time at the beach and check out all of the street fests. Chicago is a lovely city in the summer and only in the summer.Desert Fox wrote:Learn how to drink without a hangover. That's important. During second semester I forgot. IIRC it's top 10%, so it moves around.yxlaw wrote:Anyone know what is the cutoff GPA for Order of the Coif at NU?

Any idea what are the approximately GPAs in the past several years? even a range? Or what is top 10%?

Considering 25% of the students in a particular course must receive an A- or greater, the top 10% gpa probably falls between cum laudeand magna cum laude. When in doubt contact the registrars office. For those registrar offices I have contacted they have been forthcoming with the historical data you are inquiring regards.

Northwestern is pretty tight lipped about what grades = what percent. The top the curve is really inflated compared to other schools.

This will help with the honors scales. Note though, there is some inflation of GPA after 1L. It seems in many uncurved classes A- is median grade given.

Sorry if this has been answered.... but what's the reasoning behind judicial externships not being eligible for SPFIF?

Re: Northwestern Students Taking Questions and Challenges
It's not public interest. SPFIF exists to support public interest students.rinkrat19 wrote:Sorry if this has been answered.... but what's the reasoning behind judicial externships not being eligible for SPFIF?
