Re: Wake Forest Law Class of 2017
2A here, figured I'd post after reading TLS this past year. I'm originally from New Hampshire.
I'm also submitting my application for longest drive to Wake. Driving 20 hours from San Antonio to Winston with my wife and dog (who wants to borrow a dog when I leave town ?. In some place called Gulfport at a Sleep Inn about to leave to make the remaining 11 hours.
Looking forward to meeting you all, and thanks again for the helpful posts! I'm Luke.

I think there's some guy from California who's making the drive (either here or on the FB group).

An 11 pound red toy poodle. Super fast, friendly, and cuddly. Whose very excited to have slightly cooler weather and a lot more room than in Houston. Here's a recent photo: http://imgur.com/halW7Vacricketlove00 wrote:What kind of dog do you have?

So cute. I'll gladly babysit if needed. I have two small dogs who would love a playmate.leklek wrote:An 11 pound red toy poodle. Super fast, friendly, and cuddly. Deferred, but there should be two more people from California heading over! I actually had a pretty epic 10 day road trip planned over, but that'll just wait til next year it seems like.cricketlove00 wrote:I think Shiro was coming from Cali but may have deferred.

I should probably know this, but do you guys know who each 1L section has for each class and what books are required? or where I can find that? I'm looking to sell my books and want to know who to target ;P

On WIN if you look for law courses it'll show you who the professor is for each section. Or there's a PDF document somewhere (registrar?) that lists by sections. 1 is wright, Davis, Grebledinger, Taylor.Incubateus wrote:I should probably know this, but do you guys know who each 1L section has for each class and what books are required? or where I can find that? Sooo... how do I know what classes I can get the previous edition in and what classes I cannot? Ex. its like a $60 difference in the 2013 Civil Pro Statutes and other Materials Supplement and the 2014 edition and the Criminal Law casebook has like a $200 difference between editions...

I don't know honestly... But I think whatever the bookstore is listing as the required books is what We should get, edition included. I just wouldn't chance it...shaynislegend wrote:Sooo... how do I know what classes I can get the previous edition in and what classes I cannot? To be honest, it probably doesn't matter. Unless there is some big change in the law that I'm completely unaware of, it probably won't matter. Same with that facebook post. The Con law books are worthless anyway so do yourself and don't buy them (at least if you have Parker). He never uses them. Just find a good outline or the Chemerinsky book and you'll be golden. Curtis on the other hand apparently asks for quotes from the book. I haven't had him, but that's what I've heard.cricketlove00 wrote:I don't know honestly... Do yourself a favor, get the cheaper one. Then google the changes in the FRCP and write them in or ask your professor what big changes matter. I'm going to guess that most don't matter.shaynislegend wrote:Sooo... how do I know what classes I can get the previous edition in and what classes I cannot? Re: Wake Forest Law Class of 2017
Dumb question time: will we be using some of the same required books for the Part II's of our courses next semester? I ask because the website's sample budget says like $1,400 for the year for books, but totaling up my required books (mostly new) equals like $1,300 for this semester...

Hey everyone,
One of your profs is now currently teaching at my school. Do any of you have access to old outlines or exams? Please message me if you do, I would be really helpful (and can pay!!!)
Thanks!
