I don't know the timeline on processing an appeal, but the application makes it sound like you have nothing to worry about financially if you get everything in before the September 30th deadline (then, I believe they have the Bursar waive the charges).

Appeal Application
Off the top of my head: if the appeal doesn't go through until after you paid for the plan, you'll later get a refund to your bursar account which should then be deposited into the bank account linked to your netpay account.

Thanks to both of you for the response.

This thread in general has been tremendously helpful, really appreciate that.

Anyone do their MPNs and still have this, "Direct Loan Master Prom Note" on the to do part of their student center? I'm not talking about the newstudent to do list that lists stuff like accept admission, take photo id, enroll in meal plan, etc.

Don't feel bad, Cornell needed more of a presence. It felt like it was almost exclusively HLS/WUSTL a bit earlier on.

Ok cool. On that note, seeing the amazing size of the Harvard, Columbia, and WUSTL sections really brings into perspective how skewed the TLS population actually is.

lol well i mean it's not like our class size is huge either....

on another note, anyone know when our bills are due? I'm getting confused with some date that says Aug 7, unless that's just the date to sign up for nelnet or whatever

I'm saying that it's kinda crazy how we can get 5-10% of a T20 law school's population here on TLS, for example 6% of Harvard's class, when the average law student has more modest stats and is going to a much more regional school.

Pretty sure August 7 is the date they set forth, I saw it somewhere yesterday and put it in my calendar.

Just link your bank account to net.pay on the 7th and your bills will be paid automatically when the loans come in and the leftover loan money for CoL will go into your bank account.

Do I have to let them know my bank account number then? Or will they be in touch once my bill is paid?

I linked my account for refunds, I have no idea where loans are going to, unless it's going to the same location. Ugh I think I'm stupid and not understanding this lol...

You will have to enter the number on net.pay, yes.

And I forget what specific notifications you get. I think they may mail you a check or something if you don't link your account and the loans come in. Don't even remember when that happened.

Don't have time to look up answers because AJF, but maybe you can find something in the c/o 2016 thread.

Pretty sure you're done. Or not. Idk, see if there's something you can do on the 7th. Exhausted right now.

Thanks for that heads up. I wasn't sure how we got our non-tuition disbursements.
Yes, thanks!
