No dice w/ scholarship negotiation. But I'm still in. I'll be sending in my deposit tomorrow!

Negotiating worked out much better than I expected so it looks like it'll be justifiable compared to my other options, so I'll be sending in my deposit tomorrow! Incredibly excited to be a part of Duke Law!

Just wanted to say welcome to the people who have decided for sure to come here next year! You're gonna love it. Duke is the best.

And if you're still deciding...just remember if we ranked T14 by weather, Duke would be #1

Having grown up in the South, I'm not sure I could stay sane during 1L having to bear a northern winter as well.

Having grown up in the South, I'm not sure I could stay sane during 1L having to bear a northern winter as well.

Haha. Same. Northern winters sound like something out of my nightmares....I'm happy staying solidly below the mason-dixon if I can help it.

Same here, although Duke nominally being my cheapest T14 option lets me justify the decision on other grounds. I hope never to suffer through an Upper Midwest winter again.
