Actually, we're going to try and e-mail it to you next week.
Lavitz - do you know if this is still happening anytime soon? Also, what exactly is the mentorship program?

Sorry. Unfortunately, I am not in charge of the matching. I will ask for an update from the people who are.

Basically, CLSA will match each 1L with an upperclass mentor who can give advice. The matching is based on a few factors like career goals, undergrad, etc. Mentors should contact mentees around the time school starts. You can meet up on your own and there should also be a mentor-mentee reception. It can be hit-or-miss: some mentors are great and some don't even contact their mentees. Obviously, you can just befriend other 2Ls and 3Ls then, and certain other clubs also assign mentors. But at least this gives you one potential contact right off the bat.

BTW, if anyone's interested in NYC Biglaw and possibly clerking and is interested in being my official mentee, feel free to PM me and maybe we can work something out. ;)

If you haven't already then head over to http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 8&t=227952 and ask Scotti to add your name under Cornell!

My subletter just got off the waitlist at another school and will no longer be attending Cornell. First person to get the papers to me wins.
wpi17 wrote:Hi all,
I am subletting a 1 BR/Bath at the new Collegetown Terrace apartments (905 E. State St.) for the upcoming academic year. I lived in the apartment my 1L year and renewed the lease in the spring, but I recently decided to transfer. The apartment is available starting August 15th. From speaking with my landlord, it's the only 1 BR left in the home-style apartments (so it doesn't feel like a dorm). Also, you'll be getting the apartment at a $100 discount/month since my lease is at the special "renewal rate."

Everything is like-new in the apartment, you get a free gym membership, free wi-fi, free heat/AC, in-unit washer/dryer, covered parking, and it is just a 10 minute walk to the law school, Collegetown, and Ithaca Commons. It really is the best housing option in Ithaca. You can see pictures of the building, gym, and rooms here: http://collegetownterraceithaca.com/index.php

PM me if you are interested or would like to see pictures of the apartment, and I wish you all the best of luck at Cornell Law this upcoming year!

I like it when the fourth wall is broken, especially in comedies.

Nobody does it better than Spacey in House of Cards though.

Anyone still looking for housing?
I just transferred and would like to sublet my room. the house is unbelievably well maintained. ~650 per month, 15 mins' walk to law school. the other 3 roommates are all 2Ls, extremely nice people, having superb outlines and countless tips for how to succeed as a 1L ( one got a 3.9x in spring :P).

PM for details.

Ugh, my undergrad JUST got around to telling me they didn't take care of the the Dean's certificate or transcript requests I sent well before the deadline. I have a mysterious $10 hold on my account even though I didn't have a problem getting transcripts for LSAC before.

Anyone know what the deal is with cable TV in Hughes? I was under the impression it cost extra, but I was reading the IT page and the wording makes it sound like the school doesn't offer cable TV at all. http://www.it.cornell.edu/services/guid ... connected/
