I can't decide if everyone is getting more obnoxious or I'm getting less patient the closer I get to my end date. (Is it may 1st yet?!)

Yeah...they made me move offices to an office that is basically a running joke around here because it's terrible, they changed my job duties, and they threatened to reduce my pay among other things. They are mad. Kinda shitty because I work at a law firm and was hoping to leave on good terms but oh well.

Of all places, you would think a firm would understand someone leaving to go to law school. Did you make it abundantly clear that you would not be returning? Did you possibly call your firm "shitlaw" and spit on the floor?

Hahaha I am tempted to do that now! No, in fact I left it very open ended and even said I would potentially be open to doing some part time or contract work for them during school after I got settled into a routine.

3+ years in which time they have always said they were happy with me and my work.

And Bound, I know right? I can't really believe it. It's like being shunned in high school, you would think I made out with someones boyfriend or something.

I have to tell you that at first my work did the same, and I work for the DA's office. They took it as an insult like I wasn't good enough for them anymore... And they are all attorneys!

They are better now but when I told them I was going to be leaving it was pretty rough for a few weeks.

Well I guess I'm glad to know I am not the only one! A few people around here are pretty cool with it but I think there are at least a few that will be bitter and underhanded until the end. I let them know in December and they are still very cold shoulder so I don't see it improving in the next 3 months. Just keep reminding myself I'm almost done though and then it's not so bad.

I would not be a good bartender at all. I would 1) severely dislike all the drunk people and 2) drink all da booze myself.

At Penn ASW, they tried to tell us how laid back the school was and consistently compared themselves to UVA as the more fun and better bro schools of the T14. Using UVA as a staple of bro-ness is always a good sign.
