The Summer Steps link that they sent us last week somewhere mentions unofficial orientation events starting on the 24th and official ones starting on the 27th. Beyond that I don't think they have told us anything else.

ETA Does anybody know when we need to waive our health insurance by?

I believe the form to waive it opens online first week of July. Don't remember the date that window closes, but it's on the website

I skipped it, along with most morning things. And last year the yacht club thing got rained out so it just turned into an open bar situation. Win/win.

That orientation schedule looks pretty awesome. Not gonna lie, definitely made me get more excited for school. Will anyone be bringing guests to some of the events that allow it? Think it might be cool to bring a SO and let them see the red carpet penn is bout to roll out

Do all schools have as an extensive orientation as Penn? I really thought it would be more lecturing and whatnot and less yacht parties and drinking lol. Not complaining...

I am living on campus, and I will not be getting a meal plan. I do not wanna be the creepy grad student eating with all the undergrads. Also, go join the class of 2017 thread. Penn's representation in there is depressing.

It's not an unreasonable question, but I don't know anyone who was on a meal plan as a 1L, even people who lived in the crappy campus housing.
