Withdrew from UVA on Friday. Wasn't easy, but I was sure of my decision and wanted to open up a good amount of $$ for your appeals. Good luck everyone!!!

I'm hoping it's not a firm deadline- also waiting on info from another school. I am seriously considering requesting an extension, and hoping the other school responds by then.

Unsuccessful in scholarship negotiation. Now I'm 99% sure that I'll be withdrawing.

Called to ask about whether the April 21st deadline was firm- it is. FWIW, the person I spoke to said it's out of respect to the folks on the WL.

Hello all,

I am looking for a roommate. I am an incoming male 1L looking to live in a 2 bedroom (possibly a 3 bedroom). I am down for almost anything within walking distance of the UVA School of Law. Preferably Ivy Gardens and not Pavilion. I don't have any pets and would like to not live with a pet. I plan on buckling down on the books, but having a little fun as well. I do not smoke. I try to go to the gym every day. I am definitely looking forward to the softball! I am two softball teams this summer. If this sounds like a good fit, shoot me a message!

Didn't receive any aid, sent them a message with competing offers and was informed that I would not be receiving a scholarship...twice. Burn.

I've already withdrawn, but FWIW, the exact same thing happened to me. I don't know if they're being stingy or are just really short on funds this year, but I was politely turned down 3 times and told that "only 30-40% of every incoming class receives scholarships."

Yeah. I didn't even ask twice so I felt quite perturbed to be told again.

UVA was not able to raise my $75K to $90K to match Columbia. I will be withdrawing today. Good luck to everyone!

This decision is hard. UVa offered 25k/year but USC offered 50k. IDK what to do! lol

I don't know your entire situation and I don't intend on coming across like a big D, but I'm not seeing how that's much of a difficult situation. Seems pretty clear to me.

Your debt will be less at USC, but prospects to pay off the debt you do accumulate due to COL and remaining tuition is also less. I'm sure you've already looked at this, but I hope you make the choice that works best for you! Keep us posted.
