Why discuss such specific references which only mean something to rising 2Ls in a Facebook group for new 1Ls is all.

No. This is the first year 13 South will be student housing and it will probably be all 1Ls, I.e. Hughes with more space. The admin probably knows people who had a bad experience living with noisy people 1L year but I really don't see that as applicable here. On the off chance that it is noisy there are other places to go, like the library which will be a four minute walk away.

Fair enough. Just seemed weird considering the e-mail sent out about it from housing specified it was being set up for law school students as a Hughes alternative, and then that post just kind of seemed to debunk that idea. I'm sure it'll work out fine, just thought it was peculiar.

I thought it was weird. I've never seen that happen before. She's never responded to posts not directed at admissions.

We had both a hike and a wine tour before orientation. Plus people will just ask who's in town and wants to meet for food / drinks. Maybe one of the Hughes GCA's will invite you to play beer pong in Hughes again. Actual Hughes people usually get left out because we move in later.

Official events? Nope. Unless you're invited to AOP. Then I think they have something like dinner at Professor Johnson's house. Also, I think LALSA had some sort of ice cream social before orientation. Not sure if APALSA, BLSA, etc. did anything.

Right, I remember hearing about last year's hike and wine tour and was wondering if those events were official. Thanks for the answer Lavitz!

Oh yeah, I forgot. There should be a ropes course challenge the day before orientation. I didn't go but I hear it's fun. You should go unless you think you'll be too hungover, which is a valid consideration given that it's on a Sunday morning.

And suggest something for a poll.
