Probably in the Regents area. I know that some people ITT were looking at the Shorelands, but I'm not sure if it justifies the extra $.jaesonko wrote:So where are ya'll planning on living next semester !?

Shoreland is just as convenient a location as Regents, if not slightly more so since the 171 is less crowded than the 172. It's also slightly closer to Treasure Island and Open Produce. But yea, it's hella expensive.random number wrote:Probably in the Regents area. Thanks for the correction!beepboopbeep wrote:Shoreland is just as convenient a location as Regents, if not slightly more so since the 171 is less crowded than the 172. Yeah, I certainly wasn't expecting housing in Hyde Park to go up that high.

It goes up high but it also goes low relative to other big cities. If you're willing to live with roommates you can get a place for $500-$600/mo each.jaesonko wrote:beepboopbeep wrote:Shoreland is just as convenient a location as Regents, if not slightly more so since the 171 is less crowded than the 172. FYI the Chicago Law Foundation sells a ton of law school specific swag if you can be patient and wait until the fall. Rather than giving money to the campus bookstore chain, you can help fund your peers' summer public interest workLet It Roll wrote:anyone else buy a ton of uchicago gear from the online bookstore today? wish there was more law school stuff.

calm down nobody gafgottago wrote:Any of you email them to say you're declining only to receive an email asking you to use their form?
I didn't see the email asking me to use the form until recently. I submitted the form (to decline their offer) way after I had already deposited somewhere else. Chicago's website says to use that form before April 30, but that's only if you're accepting right?
I'm just asking because I don't want this date mix-up to affect my deposit status at the other school I've deposited at. That is the only school I have and will have a deposit at, so I should be fine despite my late use of Chicago's online form?

Yeah they don't care. If you haven't deposited by now they will assume you aren't coming, it's probably just an extra step for them to manually remove you from the spreadsheet or whatever whereas the form might do it automatically.gottago wrote:Any of you email them to say you're declining only to receive an email asking you to use their form?
