Yeah that's just classy. Obsessed w the author, talked about her in my interview, she's worked with us at the nonprofit I work at. Harvard, you don't need to woo me. But don't stop.

Got my book yesterday! Mine has to do with criminal law, since my application and interview were focused on it. I feel like they know when you start seriously considering another school and they pull you back in with a gift or an interesting email lol

Mine I just touched on briefly in my interview as an area I'd be interested in pursuing, but it also happens to be my favorite thing ever. Also, I just noticed both the authors are Harvard Law professors. Tricky bastards.

I did but it is pretty obvious from my application that I have a lot of experience/interest in the area of law they teach. I haven't responded yet...a little worried I don't have any good questions for them and will sound like an idiot haha

I felt the same way but still wanted to connect... I asked about what they look for in their RA candidates and for book reccommendations to read before HLS. Don't think I am embarrassed myself too much.

Yep, I did. The prof that emailed me is so perfectly matched to my interests that it's amazing. I'm really psyched!

It was really fast. My letter is actually dated prior to my JS2 so they've probably already mailed your package. They send it priority so it should be there soon. There's an email from JS coming as well if you haven't already gotten that and then someone will email you with your Harvard ID and new Harvard email address.

JS mentioned in my call that they wouldn't be sending out the email or mail until Monday since she started making calls so late yesterday.

Lessig is currently the professor I'd like to meet the most. I haven't received a book yet, but now I'm thinking I should have talked about campaign finance somewhere in my application so I could have gotten something from him.
