Yea. Im on the third floor 600 something. 2/2. I know two other people in our class are nearby too.

I might call and ask to find out about orientatio then.
Im 600 something third floor too. Hmmm maybe we are neighbors.
I would imagine we'll be very close. Do you have any idea what the walk is like from there? I hardly paid attention when I drove. Trying to see if I need to plan on buying the parking pass or not.

Not sure about the walk. I know there's a trail of some sort that doesn't follow the road but I can't imagine it's far at all. That might be pretty awful in the winter though. The bus does come to the complex though.

Isn't the parking pass like ridiculously expensive?

Yea like 500 bucks for the year is what I heard. Without it parking is almost impossible and the tickets for parking out of your zone are hefty.

Just as an FYI I think the parking is free anywhere after 9 pm (someone verify this?).

I think it's possible to get by without a parking pass, albeit a pan in the ass.

August 2nd at Crowne Polo.

Anyone know what happens the week after the Friday orientation? I see the upperclassmen don't have class until the 25th so I didn't know if we had things programmed the whole week of the 18th or not.
I am pretty sure our orientation lasts all week

Civil Procedure I
Civil Procedure II
Constitutional Law I
Contracts I
Contracts II
Criminal Law
Legal Research & Writing I
Legal Research & Writing II
Property
Torts

These are our 1st year required classes. Which classes do we have the first semester? Its obvious we will have the 1st half of the 2-semester courses. Just curious when we have con law, criminal, property, and torts. I would assume we have 2 of these in the fall and 2 in the spring. Just want to know in what order.

Here's the 2014 class schedule: http://registrar.law.wfu.edu/files/2010 ... leFall.pdf

From glancing at it, it looks like contracts, lrw1, civ pro 1, crim, torts.

I know! The law building isn't amazingly beautiful, but it's still really nice. And honestly that campus kills me. Gorgeous.

SO GREEN. I'm sure in winter it's going to be dreary but right now it's perfect. Also drove around one of the Crownes and it looked pretty nice. Which one is the one most law students live in (if you know haha)?

Right now I'm trying to decide between Wake and Pepperdine. So different, going to be tough. Wake tour is tomorrow so we'll see how it goes but I have a feeling it's going to go well.

Crowne Polo is where I'll be living. I think it's the most graduate-friendly. I've heard Crowne Park isn't bad either.

Does anyone know if there is a big difference between Crowne Polo and Crowne Oaks? The Crowne Polo doesn't have any 1 bedrooms available in August, so I ended up getting a 1 bedrooms at Crowne Oaks. I didn't have an opportunity to tour either place.

I believe the Crownes are essentially the same. I can't speak for the "feel" of the places, but the layouts and the basic idea is the same among the Crowne properties.

Was just there yesterday and there's one, one bedroom left at Polo if you're still interested.

A lady in the office mentioned sections looking like 4x45.

Since I was there for such a short period of time I didn't get to check out downtown in depth... Is it really that rundown? I was near old Salem so I didn't get to see much but it didn't look that great.

4th street is pretty sweet. Trade street is run down in a charming way. Some of the buildings are run down and old, but I wouldn't describe the city and its inhabitants that way. Everyone I met seemed lively and friendly, even in the "run down" parts. It really depends on what you're looking for in a law school.

Has anyone considered Alaris Village Apartments? I have been pretty set on Crowne but at about $200 difference a month I could be convinced otherwise.

I've been committed to Wake Forest for a while now but this is the first time I'm posting here. Just wanted to say I'm looking forward to meeting you all in the fall. I'll be moving down there in July or so before orientation. Also can't wait to play some ping pong on the tables right outside the school in the courtyard :)

Also, I really liked Alaris. It seemed like an great place to live for its price.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
