Called it!
Sorry guys, but it looks like I beat the rest of you to it. I'm emailing Penn now to inform them that I called it.

Most likely Berkeley (got a matching scholarship--not a full match, but still really significant). Since I'm going into Public Interest, I think Berkeley makes more sense for me. Chicago's also really tempting, but they haven't gotten back to me about my financial aid appeal.DCNTUA wrote:Where is Ryan going instead?Theopliske8711 wrote:Ryan11212 wrote:Just declined the Levy Scholarship. Congrats on the full match! Seems like a rarity at Berkeley

You might want to reread my post haha. It wasn't a full match, but it was enough to tip the scales for Berkeley. It really was a brutal decision though.

Re: UPenn Class of 2017
If Arrow was offered a Levy, they could give you one. I would tell them I need a Levy to sway me from the Dillard, but you do what's best for you. Great options, can't go wrong.james.bungles wrote:been emailing the financial aid guy, and he responded today with an initial offer of 75-105k, gonna call him later and try to talk it up to near Levy or 100k+ if possible. crossing my fingers lol. Any advice for the negotiations? i.e. should I say if 100k+/Levy I'll deposit today or something?
ETA: I brought up Arrow only to point out they have Levy-type $ available.

Ooooh, I remember it being like 2/3rd or something a few cycles back. Guess they changed with the times. Thanks for answering!dubster101 wrote:It's full tuition.Gary wrote:How much is the Levy? It's not a full scholly right?

Dude, exact same thing happened to me too. It's fate. UPenn just make my decision easy already.Gary wrote:Just took a stupid buzzfeed quiz about which school I should attend and I got Penn.... Too bad I haven't heard anything about merit scholarships and I was admitted months and months ago and emailed a bunch of times

Well, it's nice to have been admitted, but Penn is definitely out. Good job, Financial Aid.

I'm assuming the fact that most people haven't heard back about merit aid yet so some other school that offered aid whose deposit deadline is around the corner wins?samoby wrote:Did something happen that I missed?Leo wrote:+1Robbin Blue wrote:Well, it's nice to have been admitted, but Penn is definitely out. Ayup. I've told Penn repeatedly when I needed to hear by, which they've completely ignored and replied with false promises. There are simply better options right now than to wait for a scholarship that may never come.zen wrote:I'm assuming the fact that most people haven't heard back about merit aid yet so some other school that offered aid whose deposit deadline is around the corner wins?samoby wrote:Did something happen that I missed?Leo wrote:+1Robbin Blue wrote:Well, it's nice to have been admitted, but Penn is definitely out.
