I'm curious... who is actually seriously considering putting down a deposit this week, but not at all sure about attending? As someone still waiting to hear on scholarship info (NU said they'd get second round decisions out between April 14-18, after first rounders have made a decision,) I'm trying to get a sense re: how many people are keeping NU in the mix without being certain.

NU is top two for me right now but I'm still waiting on scholarship offers from other schools and a couple decisions that could completely change my choices. ugh $750.

It's not binding, but you do have to submit the seat deposit along with accepting the scholly. So if you choose not to enroll, you lose out on $750

Does anyone know where I can find the deposit policy? Does NU make you withdraw from other places after you deposit? I really want to buy myself some more time. I'm waiting on other schools to get back to me on financial aid.

So this may be a stupid question, but where exactly do I pay the deposit? I thought it'd be on the scholarship acceptance form but nope.

I haven't seen any good shots of the library. There are some online of the staircase, but it doesn't really give a good sense of the space. I've been in the atrium for the interview, but I didn't have a lot of time to explore the campus due to travel.

This doesn't really factor into my decision either way — just interested in seeing more of the campus.

Couple of pictures of the main study area on the first floor of the library that I just took. 2nd floor is pretty much the same. Long row of large tables against the lake side windows, long row of carrells against the south side windows, warm sunny corner with soft chairs/sofas. There are more tables over on the north side of the first floor, and lots more carrells on all three floors, along interior walls. The third floor of the library has a smaller study area with a few smaller tables. As you can imagine, it gets more crowded towards finals, but while you may not get your favorite study spot every time, I've never not been able to find a spot, even if it's just a carrell away from the windows.

Has anyone applied to live at McClurg Court and also went on the Student Space housing during ASW? Did you have to pay the $240.00 just to apply or was part of this fee supposed to be waived. I went on the tour and filled out one of those postcards but lost the materials and wanted to double check before paying $240.00. I was in contact with Tyler at StudentSpace but he just forwarded me to someone at McClurg Court who hasn't been very helpful and just told me to apply on the website.
