Is the FAFSA required in order to receive a financial aid offer? I was under the impression that it wasn't. Still haven't received an offer and I think that I have all the other needed materials in.

Just received the email that they're missing my father's S Corporation returns. Dreading how long this is going to potentially delay receiving my award info, especially considering I submitted the documents back in March.

Also means they're actively working through files from mid-March as well.

Hi guys, I am filling out my housing form, and had a quick question...When I was at ASP, current students told me there was a box where you could fill in additional comments or preferences, but I couldn't find it. I just wanted to confirm that it doesn't exist anymore?

Just call their fin aid office and they will check and let you know. You can also ask if you're currently under review and when you can expect to get the offer. I called and it was quick and easy for me.

I am an international student from China who has been just accepted into the L.L.M. program 14' of Columbia Law School. I understand most students here are incoming J.D. students. Hope to meet everybody on campus in the coming fall!

Maybe the above is the only answer to this question but maybe someone else has more specifics. On the housing application, you can apply for LS housing and UAH or just UAH.

If I select LS housing, I can rank shared @ $1100/month and then Studio @ $WE. But if I select UAH I can rank shared @ $900/month and then Studio @ $WE-$200.

Is there a way I can tell them I prefer UAH @ $900/month, but if I can't get $900/month and can only get $1050-$1100 I would obviously prefer LS housing @ $1100?

Also, what are the chances if I put UAH at $900 (the cheapest option) that I will be able to find something at that price range? If they don't have it for me do I have to peruse Craigslist?

Does putting unfurnished or furnished help either way with UAH or LS housing option (or impact price). I really don't care much. I have crappy furniture I could bring with me, or I could use their crappy furniture. I just want the cheapest rent I can find.

The deadline for the housing app is 5/15 which is around when they will start to be processed. If you're definitely committed to CLS, then I think the best option is just to call the CLS Housing Liaison and explain your request over the phone, and you still have a month to do that.

Therefore, if you decide to hold a place at Columbia, we ask that you refrain from doing the same at other law schools. Should we discover that a candidate has made commitments to multiple law schools, Columbia reserves the right to revoke its offer of admission.

In my Financial Aid Offer letter it said $85,755 for 2014-2015. I can break it up into their subcategories if you want.
