Hmm. I wonder if the named scholarships disqualify you for the Vanderbilt?

And the only references I've found to the Vanderbilt thing are for the LLM program. Are you all JDs?

Yeah, I'm JD. Seems like maybe they're extending it from just LLM to LLM or JD this year.

So I'm guessing next week marks the start of interview invites for the named schollys...on the RTK page it says interview invites go out to admitted students between February and mid-March, with the tentative interview date for all of them (including that new Public Policy one) is March 29th.

Between this and pending apps and financial aid forms being processed I don't think I have the bandwidth to be stressed about all of it at once any more.

Got the Vandy - accepted December. Applied early December. Did not write any additional essays. 3.9/174.

Clearly this is a "we need high numbers" situation but I'll take it!!!

did you fill out your financial aid stuff? i'm under the impression that you need to submit need access before even being considered for merit aid.

Considering going and bringing my SO. Can't decide if there will be any benefit to going worth the effort of LA traffic on Thursday. Not to mention the awkwardness if no other 2017's show up.

I didn't even consider that but that would be really awkward, especially because it's in somebody's house! Now I'm starting to have second thoughts. I wonder what the benefits would be other than a free meal...

Networking if you want to move back to LA after graduation? (Or even if you want to land a summer position in LA after your first year).

No, I haven't filled out any fin aid forms yet. It seems like this is a new thing they are trying.

I don't know if anyone experienced this but I got an email from a professor and in it, it stated that colleagues in admission told her that I'm interested in law and economics. Weirdly enough, that's super not true and I have no idea how they would have gotten that from my app at all.

Did anyone else have a situation like that? I'm not really sure how to respond.

Maybe I did that somewhere too? I don't know why I would. The program she described sounded superr impressive but not my thing at all.
