You will love Sherman Clark. He's reason enough to come to Michigan, and there's really no better introduction to law school than to have torts with him.alex.cm wrote: and Torts, taught by Professor Sherman Clark (--LinkRemoved-- ... ID=sjclark).

Yay welcome! This is still my favorite monikeryost wrote:Checking in!
Sidenote: watching Parks and Rec, Anne is moving to Ann Arbor which is both punny, and makes me excited to move myself.

For those going to the March ASW --did anyone receive an email indicating our hotel assignment/details, etc. as promised?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Wondering this too. I'm guessing it should come out before the end of today. I would assume the latest would be Monday

Re: Michigan Class of 2017
Dear New Admits,
Congratulations on your acceptance to Michigan Law! All of us on campus are very much looking forward to meeting many of you at ASW next weekend. Those of you attending the first preview weekend have the SFF auction to look forward to - which is a ridiculously fun event where students and professors get together for an evening of drinking and fundraising.
Another event on the docket for next Friday, March 21st is the Phid House's Wine and Cheese meet & greet from 7 to 9 pm. The Phid House is a co-ed fraternity house of 25 law students, split evenly between the 1L, 2L and 3L classes. For those of you still looking for living arrangements for next year, the Phid House is one of the best options you can find at the law school. Here's why:
1. Cheapest Rent on Campus - Our housemates pay $450 a month in rent which includes all amenities (e.g., water, electricity, wireless internet and cable, house Netflix/HBO GO accounts). Also, active board members can get up to a $100 discount on monthly rent.
2. Proximity to the Law School - We're only a block away from Hutchins Hall. You can wake up 7 minutes before class and still have time to grab a coffee without being late.
3. Diverse and Fun Community of Law Students - The Lawyer's Club can't offer you an immediate network of 2L and 3L housemates. We can. These guys have been through the challenges of 1L and are more than happy to help new housemates navigate the confusion of the first year. They're also pretty fun to hang out with.
Again, we're very much looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the preview weekends. We hope to see you all at Wine and Cheese!

Re: Michigan Class of 2017
Hello!!! Congratulations everyone! I'm a 2L summer starter who is looking to sublet their place/answer any qs you might have about summer start/U of M Law. Please feel free to PM me if you are interested.
My place is a 2-bedroom which is a 5-minute walk from the law school. If you have someone you want to live with, that's awesome because my roommate is looking to sublet her room as well. Dates would be May 10th until mid-August. $400/month (including utilities, which I will pay for). Laundry in basement, parking out back. Great location and a building just for grad students.
Have a good day!

So Michigan Flyer times are bogus. I appreciate the cost savings, but even $40 bucks is not worth waiting around an hour and a half at the airport.
Anyone landing between 11 AM and 11:30 on Thursday and want to share a cab?

For what it's worth, I was just up in Ann Arbor visiting Michigan and had no problem with the Flyer, either to or from the airport.UserNameHere wrote:So Michigan Flyer times are bogus. I appreciate the cost savings, but even $40 bucks is not worth waiting around an hour and a half at the airport.

Oh no, I totally believe you. But I have no desire to wait an hour and a half for it to leave.rachellen wrote:For what it's worth, I was just up in Ann Arbor visiting Michigan and had no problem with the Flyer, either to or from the airport.UserNameHere wrote:So Michigan Flyer times are bogus. Yeah, sometimes the schedule is a wee-bit inconvenient.UserNameHere wrote:Oh no, I totally believe you. Also as a piece of advice for people who are taking the Flyer, it picks up at a really weird location; I think it is the international/employee drop off area, so double check your Flyer confirmation email for instructions on where to be. But all-around the flyer is pretty nice. Comfortable chairs. Usually not too crowded. Very quiet.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
