Welcome to Georgia Law! I am a 2L (soon to be 3L) here at UGA and am excited that you guys will be joining us in Athens this fall. I am involved with the Student Bar Association here and have created a UGA Law Class of 2017 facebook group so that all incoming 1L's have a way to network, find a roommate, and just get to know each other a bit before coming to Athens in the fall.

I hope you all are excited to begin in August and are looking forward to experiencing a beautiful and engaging campus and city this academic year. Please invite any friends you know who are coming in the fall to this group, and be on the lookout for a few summer SBA events in the Atlanta and Athens areas that we would love for you guys to attend (I will post any information to this page).

I will do my best to answer any questions you guys might have about Athens and UGA generally, though I'll be honest, with exams looming I may not be too responsive over the next week or two. Again, welcome to Georgia Law!

Edit: I also see that I am a little late to the party on creating a facebook group. I would like to ask for help from you all in merging the two groups, we will be posting information on summer SBA and admissions-sponsored events to this page that we would like you all to be kept in the loop on!

*Also, please note that the group content is set to public/"open" for now. Once we have a sizable group of people join, I will switch it back to "closed" so that only group members will be able to see posts and other info, but I want to make sure that people can find it for now.

wheres the place to live in athens. a friend and I are interested in getting a 3/4 BR house close to the law school. if anyone else is interested please PM me.

For houses... Boulevard area. There are also a ton of houses for rent around the Cloverhurst/Bloomfield/Springfield/Rutherford streets.
