I will second saigon shack. Also the 1 dollar pizza 2 dollar beer place that i'm not sure has a name is pretty excellent when drunk.

I've been subsisting on free food at law school events where possible though (and gone to some neat panels in the process).

I keep going back to 100 Montaditos because I like the atmosphere (either for fun or studying) and the tapas/sangria are tasty, but the food could be a lot more authentic.

I also went to an amazing Cuban restaurant and bar (I think it's just called Cuba) the first week that I'm dying to go back to.

Kati Roll is pretty solid.

And as much as $5 pizza is kind of painful, Artichoke is delicious. (Both on MacDougal)

I think Artichoke is generally worth it.

Miss Lily's is a Jamaican place about two blocks from campus and the jerk chicken is right. It's not super cheap but was so worth it. They also have reportedly awesome smoothies if that's your thing.

Red Bamboo is great vegetarian food if you're into the fake meat thing. I'm not vegetarian and I love that place.

Haha, most people who hear that I read TLS make fun of me...and not because they think I'm a gunner.
