+1. Has anyone gotten a higher offer than 110k yet?
Not that I've seen here or on LSN- this seems to be their highest amount other than the Law Scholars full scholarships
And, since regular merit aid is [often] awarded before Law Scholars, it indicates that those eventually selected for LS will have been offered $110 to start...get excited guys! (sadly not me, but I knew I was a long-shot for LS. good luck all!)

Financial Aid Award Notices will be mailed late next week (USPS) to admitted students who have submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Those of you that have not received award letters yet, did you submit a FAFSA? I am in this group, so it looks like I'll need to wait another week or so.
Their first email could have been worded better to avoid this confusion.
I'm not sure if this includes scholarships or just tells you your loan eligibility. Did anyone who filled out FAFSA already recieve their scholarships??
It seems the email is referring to loans:
VLS email wrote:The notice shows the amount of Federal Direct Student Loans for which you have been approved along with the estimated cost of attendance for the 2014-15 academic year.

I can't wait to do this reading assignment for the mock class...
We should consider a TLS bar meetup Friday night (of ASW)

I would say anything casual (think jeans/khakis; polo/button up) that you would go to class in. It looks like a long day, want to be comfortable.

Just got off the phone with their admissions office. For those who were wondering the Merit Scholar Awards have not yet been finalized and are awarded separately from your initial offer. The woman I spoke with said that the MSA should be awarded "shortly."

Good to know. I'll get my hopes up and assume "shortly" means by the end of the month.

Do we need a suit if we're not going to the thursday reception? I have no idea what clothes to bring.

Thought I had a shot at a Law Scholars Merit Award (I guess I still might), but I didn't quite land the $110k that others have mentioned in this first round, so I certainly don't feel good about it. Still - I'm fairly happy with the offer from Vandy.

I'm confused, and hopefully this hasn't already been answered.. I thought the initial scholarships they mailed us were merit-based, so how are these different than the MSA ones they are supposed to be awarding? By all means, I would be more than happy to see some more $$ though!
Also, for those who didn't get signed up for ASW before student housing got filled, what kind of hotel deals have you found? RT flight is looking like $700 so I'm not trying to spend a fortune on a room.

By "Merit Scholar" I think the poster above you meant Law Scholar awards.

Nah. I'm going blazer and jeans. After the winter we had, don't be surprised to see me in shorts, actually.
