Duke moves up to #10 in this year's rankings. Glad to see that even if the rankings are fairly meaningless.

Do you have a link to the new report? I'm having trouble finding it.

Yep, now everyone who goes to Duke can say, "I go to a Top 10 law school" to Muggles without having to give a nuanced explanation of the T14 :P

Also, in terms of timing, not sure that this matters, but I submitted my application very early (9/3/13) on the Priority Track and was accepted for admissions on 9/13/13.

PM me if you're interested in the amount or my stats
This seems to demonstrate that financial aid offers are being sent out in order of when the initial application is received, and not by when the scholarship application was received. I submitted my Priority Track application much later than you - 01/08/14 - yet I submitted my scholarship application much earlier than you - it was received 01/30 - and I have heard nothing about scholarships yet. Granted, this might also demonstrate that there is really some other variable like you having a better application in general than me, and therefore being more deserving of financial aid, yet this would be inconsistent with that was told to us in the email…

You are on the money with this analysis.
Is this still what we are thinking regarding aid notifications? I went complete in December, but wasn't accepted until late February, and have yet to have a status checker update.

So true. Any attempt to discuss T14 with non-law folk is pointless. Sub-tiers of the T14 even more meaningless to try to explain.

Duke = top 10. Ftw.

I'm sure they're just fundraising full rides for everyone with dat new Top 10 prestige. The law school will be a Scrooge McDuck money pool for ASW.

Has anyone called the Admissions Office to ask about the status of scholarship offers? Duke is the last school I'm waiting on and a few other places have deadlines of April 4th... if I don't hear from them until the 1st, that's a really tight window to make a decision in.

On the other hand, I don't want to bug the office (or slow them down) by calling and taking up their time...

I am getting really antsy as well. I think their office must be very busy because I emailed them last week about something very simple and easy to answer and they just never emailed me back.

I hope all of you will ask admissions at Duke (and any other schools you are considering) how they plan to change their LRAP's if a cap is placed on the PSLF sometime in the future. Many of you may not have any intention of every using IBR, PAYE, PSLF or Duke's LRAP, but some of you will end up needing these programs (the LST numbers don't lie). These programs really are the safety net that makes a 6 figure education possible.

I think it's loosely based on complete date from what I can tell.

Well, still no scholly update, but regarding the reach-out surveys they sent around, I apparently now have an alumni contact assigned.

+1 I logged in and got so excited because I thought they'd mailed a scholarship decision, only to then realize it was an alumni contact. I'm actually excited about that, too, but $$$ info would help a LOT in my decision-making.

Anyone know if there is a particular date we have to accept the Mordecai by, or is it just the same as everything else?

I registered March 28th Open house last Friday, but I never receive any confirmation. Is this normal?

Interesting that they're requiring a tuition deposit for students not required to pay tuition imo
