Absolutely, it's like a rabbit's den in Gropius & North Hall. Pretty much after every bar review I've found some real "gunner" who wants to spend the night "studying" with me, if you know what I mean.

I do wonder what will happen once I've gone through most of my section though--happening faster than I'd thought.
Where are these people? I guess I need to start going to bar review.

if i get an H on closed memo I'm gonna bust my ass for the H on open, but if I get a P I'm just gonna put in minimal effort, start studying for exams, and grab the P. Seems like a rational game plan. too hard to go p to h between closed and open

Section 3 was assigned a writing assignment for crim law. Syllabus said it'd be 5 pages, and it's 15% of the grade. Our prof is visiting from a California school.

Anyway, we got the assignment, it's due in 2 weeks or so, and it's actually 2500 words, plus a 2 page single spaced "affidavit of probable cause." And she wants BlueBook citations and the class to use the materials from the entire year. Due around same time of open memo.

Welpppppp

Yeah that killed the last of any lingering QQs I might have had about not getting crim in the Fall.

Does anyone happen to know roughly when we get our closed memo grades back? My grade on that is directly related to the amount of effort I put into the open memo. So far effort is minimal (e.g. haven't started anything) and I'd like to know if I can keep that up or not.

I'm under the impression that we'll get them back at LRW this week, but if we don't I'll be a very unhappy camper.

That is what I figured, but wanted to ask the HLS c/o 2017 knowledge-base. If we don't get them back its going to suck because then I'm actually going to have to try on my outline, which means doing it all on Friday and Saturday.

I asked in the Questions thread but nobody replied so idk. My syllabus for Thursday says "Recap Closed Memo," but that doesn't mean we're getting grades, although all the 1L's I've talked think that we are.

I'm working on Research Lab 2 right now and wishing I knew how much effort put in.

I blew through that so fast, I was told by a past BSA that they barely even check them, so take that for whatever it is worth since it might be BSA to BSA specific or changed since then.

Lol thanks, that makes sense. To the extent that it corresponds to the research I'll have to do for the outline Sunday I'm trying not to waste time, but for that of course I'd like to know my memo grade...

i thought the library dude is the one who checked the research labs? oh well whatever.
it won't do us much good to recap the closed memo on thurs if we don't even know how we did. i hope we get them tomorrow; it would be nice to be in a position to ask actual questions after reviewing it :P
ugh i hate lrw

Yea lrw is the worst. It feels wrong to complain about not having an extra sprinkle on top of the massive sundae that is HLS, but damn, ungraded lrw would be really nice. Super pissed at all the NYU folks right now.
