Absolutely, it's like a rabbit's den in Gropius & North Hall. Pretty much after every bar review I've found some real "gunner" who wants to spend the night "studying" with me, if you know what I mean.

I do wonder what will happen once I've gone through most of my section though--happening faster than I'd thought.

There's just so much stress that everyone is looking to relieve. Add that to the fact that it's a way to "relive the glory days" of undergrad, or for some, have the experience they never had.

I bet it'll get even more nuts around finals (no pun intended)

It's always the section 5ers...

No formal study groups yet, just meeting before every class to discuss the reading and notes with a group of people. It's most helpful as a tool to gauge everyone else's level of understanding and make sure I stay ahead of them.

The Section 5 people I know are super friendly and nice. And they tell me Section 5 isn't very gunnerish.

eta: poster above is spot on. there have only been a few times I've gotten really annoyed in class and had to remind myself people mean well. and everyone is incredibly friendly. if they are gunners, its on the DL.

I'm just basing it off the 18 TLS users (2x as any other section) and what someone from section 5 told me. obviously this isn't conclusive alone. just a red flag

I have a quick question I'm hoping you guys will be able to help me with. My partner is driving in for the long weekend and I'm having trouble finding parking close to campus that allows overnight. Does anyone know of a garage or lot that they can point me in the direction of?

If you want an actual garage or lot, the only ones I've been able to find are down near Central Sq. However, you have two far better options:

1) Find an off-campus friend who can get a guest pass for parking anywhere in Cambridge.
2) I'm pretty sure the parking on Mass Ave in front of the law school is only until 8pm, then it's free until the next morning.

the guest passes are only for parking in a specific section of Cambridge. not anywhere in Cambridge.
